This bike rack is awesome! Could not be any better. I've loaded two heavy bikes on it and it handled it like a charm. For the money I don't think you can find a better bike carrier for your car. Worth every cent. Try you'll like it.
Sturdy construction and fairly easy to use, but two things really bring down the rating. The complete item comes in two packages and was shipped via USPS. There is no notice of it coming in two separate packages that I saw and I thought the order had been filled twice until the first one arrived and it was only the frame. The stirrups come in another box. It's risky to ship it this way as USPS' delivery record lately is less than stellar. The second issue is; there are no instructions whatsoever included with this item! Being mechanically adept I was able to figure it out. If you struggle with assembling items such as this (i.e. Ikea furniture, bicycles) without instructions you may want to look at one of the more pricey ones. I guess cutting the instructions saves a ton of $$ for the manufacturer and they pass along the savings as this one IS a bargain. Good luck!
Came with no instructions. Once together and bikes on the carrier, carrier was loose and bounced badly. Felt and sounded like the rear end of the car was coming off. And this was all highway driving, minimal street driving.
I was disappointed that it didn't come with instructions. But it was easy enough to figure out. The biggest problem is the machining flaws. There are bits of metal sticking out of almost all the machined areas, making the pieces unable to be assembled. If it had been properly machined, I believe it would have been a good bike rack.
This product ships in 2 boxes. They are delivered several days apart. There are no instructions. The seller sent a link to a video. Our order was missing parts. This was all very confusing and inconvenient. We didn't have time to process a replacement before our bike trip so we ended up returning the item and purchasing a used one from FB marketplace.
Awful. Don't buy. First of all item came in two deliveries several days apart. Was not notified of this. Should have been shipped in one box. Absolutely no instructions for a paper in box which directed me to an instructional video. Picture of assembled product looks different than the actual assembled item. As we thought bolts were missing. Called Walmart. They contacted the seller. Seller sent an email with link to video. Video was so fast we had to keep rewinding. Some parts wouldn't fit and we had to use a Mallot to jam it on. Some fit, some didn't. Video does not not show how to link to the car. lol. I don't recommend buying this product. Hopefully it will carry my new e-bikes. It is very heavy and folds when not in use.
Product arrived without instructions. Factory instructions online are incomplete. Parts are poorly constructed—- welding is terrible. Some parts don't fit, or have to be beaten into submission to fit. No hitch pin provided. Recommendation: buy a Thule or a Yakima and save yourself a ton of frustration.
It comes unassembled with no directions ? it would be nice if there was directions so I know how to put it together.
I have had chats and told I would be sent an email on this product that is missing parts and no responses. If I can not get the missing parts it is of absolutely no use to me. What is wrong that you can not discuss it with me.
We still haven't received all of the parts in our order!! We bought a bike rack to put on the back of the truck but don't have the parts to hold our fat tires.
