Here's a little different way to use this French's Catalina dressing. Pour the dressing into a shallow pan or bowl and add an ounce or two or more of your preferred soy sauce, (always ad small amounts to start) use to your preferred taste. Mix lightly then add the meat of your choice, coat and turn, then coat again. I've used chuck roast with great results. Chicken or pork work just as well. If you're only cooking for one or two then you can marinade your choice of protein in a good strong baggie. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Cook on the grill, broil indoors or cook in a convection type air fryer. Simple mix with a million-dollar taste.
I love to put Kraft Catalina Dressing on my salads. It has a tangy, sweet taste that makes my salads even better. I am trying to cut down on unhealthy foods and eat more fresh salads, fruits, and vegetables. It's a struggle to eat healthy, but as long as the healthy food tastes great, that's half of the battle won.
Walmart accidentally sent me a head of lettuce with one of my grocery orders. I figured it was either a shipping mistake or a sign from the universe that I should eat something green for once. Since I suddenly found myself in possession of a salad, I needed a proper dressing. This Catalina dressing absolutely saved the day. It's sweet, tangy, and has that classic flavor that makes an ordinary salad feel like something you actually wanted to eat instead of something you're trying to convince yourself is exciting. It coats the lettuce well without drowning it, and it tastes great on chicken too. I still don't know why the lettuce showed up at my door, but at least it introduced me to a dressing I'll definitely keep buying. Five stars. Sometimes life hands you lettuce... and Catalina dressing makes the best of it.
Love this tangle dressing. It is great to take along for your salad dressing without the mess of pre-dressing your salad. Yes, I recommend this dressing and the smaller size bottle.
Nice tangy sweet flavor. Buying the smaller bottles at $1 is cheaper than buying the bigger 16oz bottle. I recommend buying multiple 8oz bottles you will save $$$
I really like this Catalina I have been eating it for a long time I like it on my salad and then I use it when I make my taco dish. if you haven't tried it give it a try of course I do different varieties .
Finally an offering for singles or seniors. A size you do not need a Crane to pick up, or a whole shelf in the frig to store, take up space in the trash as half has expired before possible use. Wasted money on a product, that has so much to offer.
I love dressing and different kind on my side. I don't like this one and this is the best buy and price. I love it.
This is a product from long ago; still the same great taste. I've always used Catalina as a salad dressing. I haven't tried it as a marinade.
I almost never review food items because this is such a subjective area, but as a consumer I felt compelled to point out this product is mislabeled as a "rollback" which clearly implies a reduced price when in fact what has been reduced is the size - it is half the size (8 oz) of the normal bottle (16 oz). To be fair, it clearly states the weight on the bottle but I saw the rollback label and made an assumption without locking in on that important fact. It's still one of my favorite dressings but I take this as a lesson to not take labeling or promotional claims for granted.
