Easier then I thought. Fooled around with a few pieces of wood cause I didnt have a project on hand. Attached it to my work table and it held the corners like a gem. Easy to screw the screws in place leaving them hidden. You definetly have to make sure you are screwing into the correct piece of wood or there will be no strength at the joined area.

My husband and I have been renovating our house for last 14 years. We started with simple home improvement tasks like painting and drywall repair but with time and experience we graduated to more elaborate jobs. We do not have any formal training in woodwork but have done some simple wall framing projects in our house before. This jig pocket hole kit is our motivation for more DIY projects around the house. The tool is made in USA, the body is made from heavy duty plastic that seems very durable. The kit comes with 3-hole removable drill guide with steel core that guides the drill bit, the core can be used on the base or removed and used pretty much anywhere. The base should be secured to the workbench by a clamp (not provided in the kit). Since we have no experience with using this kind of tool we turned to internet for help and found many online videos that provide very clear instruction on how to use it and gave us some ideas on future projects. So far, we practiced on some scrap wood and this tool is so easy to use, plus there is very little mess. I will pick up some lumber and screws this week and we will be building a storage bench for our patio next.

The Kreg 4 kit includes a drill guide, bits, clamp & user manual. The user manual is thorough and helpful. And, the drill guide is easy to use. The pocket-holes were clean and allowed me to create perfect joints. I'm looking forward to making bookshelves and benches with my Kreg kit.

Got this jig set to try. I was really excited to get it. Been trying my luck making picture frames and needed to get good corners. I have made some frames but corners were always hard to do for me. The set was easy to use and had very clear instructions. The jig holds everything in place and you drill the holes and tighten with screws!!! Instantly I became a pro! I would recommend this to anyone that wants help in home improvements.

The Kreg K4 Jig doesn't have much to assembly. It's easily screwed to a table. There are 4 holes in the base to easily screw it down to a work bench. It worked well with the Kreg mobile project center that I have. It was also easy to use a clamp where the recess is at the front of the base. The guide easily adjusts up and down to adjust for various thickness of woods. The 3-hole drill guides are lined with a metal and makes it super easy to guide the drill. On the side of the base there are grooves which makes it easy to measure where to place the stop collar on the drill bit. The whole jig is very straight forward and for a first-time user of jigs, I found it simple on how to use the components. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.

This is a review of the Kreg Jig K4 I recently received. I gave it a practice run this morning and these are some of my observations. I find the Kreg Jig K4 to be very easy to set up. The Kreg Jig K4 is also quite easy to use and the instructions are easy to follow. That alone is a major plus in my book. The joints are very strong and I like the way they are set at an angle with plugs to cover the holes when complete. It will definitely give the project a more complete and sleek look when the project is finished. I like that the drill guides are removable and can be used on the bench top as well. The size and weight of the Kreg Jig K4 makes it really easy to transport and doesn't take up much room in the tool box. The dust collection attachment is a nice added bonus, for the fact you can drill through thick boards without all the dust buildup. I understand that additional screws and bits can be purchased at your local hardware store, which is really very convenient. One of the BEST things about this is that it is made in the good ol' USA!

Easy to use and makes joining 2 pieces a breeze

I got this tool as a gift to try it. Honestly I found it very effective but I don't work with wood so I decided to give it away to my cousin who likes to build. He loved the kreg K4 POCKET hole Jig system. It gives exactitude in the cuts making it easy to build furniture in a professional way. My cousin was very grateful to have it.
