I like that this is big. it's got big letters on it. it's easy to read. it's made out of plastic so it doesn't break like the last one I had. it's just perfect for outside to measure the rain

There's really nothing wrong with this rain gauge. Would be nice if it were a little easier to read, but all of that depends on the mounting location, so your mileage may vary. It does catch rain; it does measure rain. I personally mounted it on wood, and just know that there are no mounting screws included. No problem, I never use them anyway because they're usually cheap. But... the molded screw holes on this thing are so small that it was a struggle to find screws that would allow it to be slid up and off for dumping. Odd design. At least include the odd screws for it I guess. But no worries, got to spend some time in the basement going through my screw collection. Works fine as a rain gauge overall.

Big and easy to see

These are great until you get a solid freeze, then they crack if you have any rain or melted snow contained therein. I usually buy new entry spring

Nice unit, would be nice if there was a way to drain the rain water without taking it off the pole/fence post.
