These peppers are the best. Sometimes I would try a different brand and find peppers packed in water. I always want the peppers in "goo". The flavor is much greater. These peppers are always diced very small. For a name brand, the price for s excellent.
I like certain foods to be a bit spicy without it being overwhelming. LaPreferida's Mild Diced Green Chiles are perfect! Just enough spiciness to kick up the flavor of your dish. I like to add them to my homemade chili %26 usually use the mild chiles if others will be eating the chili as well. If I want it a bit spicier, I just add a bit more to my bowl. I've tried them in homemade dips that I dip into with tortilla chips. I've tried them cooked in a sauce that I add to roast beef and that was good! I'm sure there are plenty of other recipe ideas that the chiles would be great to add to for minimal cost. I always keep a can or two on hand just in case!
This is a different brand than I usually buy but it's fine for the recipes I use. Texture sometimes seems a bit slimy but that's consistent with other brands. Overall it's a good product, taste is safe for everyone, not too spicy but with a nice peppery flavor. Good for artichoke chile cheese bake appetizer!
Good chiles, I use them in recipes like chili, pizza, etc... my best way is to pound chicken or turkey breast flat, brown it quickly on both sides in a little butter or oil, top with chilies and jack cheese. Melt it a little. Its great on a its own or on a sub roll.
I like the La Preferida Diced Green Chiles for several reasons. They are convenient diced already and they have a good price point compared to some other brands. Most of all as some one who does not like a lot of heat, these are in fact very mild. So many products out today say mild when in fact they aren’t so I appreciate that these actually are.
These are a pantry staple in my kitchen. They add just the right amount of flavor without overpowering. The quality is consistent and this is an easy way to add flavor!
Loved these green chili's this is the only brand I trust. I put these in so many things. White Chicken Chili %26 Chicken Enchiladas! Family approved. Good value for the money.
This is the perfect chilies when you are making your family dinner. They added a depth of flavor to my Cowboy Casserole. They tasted like I had started from scratch with the green chilies. For once my grandkids finished and asked for seconds! I love this brand.
Great for using in crockpot, soup or rice and bean recipes. Good flavor and great for enchilada flavored items! Downside is there usually is at least one stem that someone finds in your cooked meal. Otherwise they would be perfect for a mild kick with a great tang!
I don't recall ever ordering diced green chilis before so I can't offer a comparison to other brands. They were a smaller dice and more vinegar forward than I anticipated.
