I wish I bought this a long time ago. She doesn't even flinch, well mostly doesn't, when I file her nails. The different speeds allows me to work quickly to take a little bit of at a time and she knows this is better than clippers or the other one speed files

I've only used it twice, so will refrain from commenting on lifespan, but it feels very durable. It's very quiet. I've listened to all six levels, but have only used level one on my dog so far. Her nails got super long because I had such trouble clipping them. Now with this unit, I am doing her nails every couple days and just a little at a time. She's been fine, and I'm looking forward to getting her nails back to the right length. The nails come out very smooth. I'm very happy with my choice.

Works fantastic on my Doberman's thick nails, which is why I got it. Does quick work of the smaller dogs' nails. I'm going to keep my old grinder (which works, but not nearly as quickly or efficiently as this one) for just in case. So pleased with this purchase!

This pet nail grinder arrived today. It is absolutely amazing. and is exactly the product that I needed to be able to deal with my very skittish Labrador's aversion to having her feet touched or her very hard nails cut. She is so difficult that my vet actually refuses to deal with her any longer, which meant that her nail maintenance had to be done exclusively by me. I have purchased product, after product, after product to no avail. None of them worked as well as this unit. It is fast. It is quiet and it is extremely effective because it has a metal grinder head. I have to say I am so impressed by this product: the moment it came, I took my dog to a quiet place, muzzled her, and began on one foot. We finished one entire foot. I now know that I will be able to deal with her nail maintenance because of this product. This will be the week her nails are finally done! The unit has a built-in light so that you avoid cutting into the quick of your pet's nail; it comes with a cleaning brush, an extra grinder head, instructions, and a charging cord. My dog is a 10lb Chiweenie. She hates her nails being trimmed %26 they are all black so it is harder to tell where the quick is. I used this trimmer 3 days in a row on her nails %26 by the 3rd day she was much calmer. Her nails are what they should be. This is very good.

my chihuahua hates to have her nails trimmed with dog clippers. i ordered the grinder, and she lets me grind her nails and i dont have to worry about her nails splitting and being sharp like they were with the dog clippers.

This is a pretty good grinder and it's noise level is great. However, it didn't come with instructions and that's very irritating because I had to spend 30 minutes trying to understand why it wasn't grinding their nails down only to discover you have to take the black piece off at the grinding stone. I'm seeing that more and more in purchases and it's time consuming trying to figure it out on your own.

The timers work great and is very quiet. Unfortunately my dog does not like to have her nails trimmed. It is a very big ordeal to trim her nails. The trimmers work great except my dog doesn't like anyone touching her feet. I was able to do 1 paw and the trimmers worked great. It such a hassle to do her nails I will get the vet to do her nails.

It is not that loud, just doesn't grind quickly. you need to take your time and be careful the nail doesn't get pinched between the wheel and guard. These are ideal for after trimming with nail cutter then grind them down and smooth.

I had high hopes for this but I'm a little disappointed. It gets the job done but the battery life is short and takes a long time to charge. It feels like it's getting shorter each use and I've only used it about 4 sessions. I got it because one of my dogs has brittle nails and they break when clipped, so this was my alternative. It works alright but it would be better if it had a better grip and longer battery life. I will say the flashlight is a nice touch and it comes with different guards and an extra dremel. It's moderately loud. Also you can't use it while charging, so that makes it worse.
