This suction cup (4) lift up window perch was just what I needed. I'm actually not using it 4 a cat. My dog likes to lay on top of back of my seat. It's pillowly, plus she can't look outside window. She's gone into deep sleep mode %26 has fallen down behind which has her hitting on sill B4 floor. This will take care of that. She can't fall behind anymore. So, for my issue, this comes down on top of my seat, where bulk of her body is but fills in the area she'd fall. It IS really nice %26 easy to assemble %26 put on window. I will include pic
I had my doubts that this would hold my 16-pound kitty, but I was wrong. The suction cups are large and solidly hold onto the glass. It holds firmly when he takes a flying leap from the cat tree onto the perch! There is a lot of "give" to the fabric, so I put a piece of cardboard in the pouch to add firmness to the bed. I have a bird feeder outside the window so it's like "reality TV" for the cats.
It is working perfectly and my kitty LOVES it. I purchased 2. We will see how long it lasts. The one drawback is the HORRIBLE off-gassing of the rubber suction cups. I could not keep it in the house until the cups sat outside in the sun for 4 days.
First off I give this shelf 5 stars for it's claim to hold up a weighty cat. I have two cats weighing in between 14-16 lbs. Both have been on the shelf with no problems. One cat is more fond of sleeping on it at night, while the other one will sit for a few minutes then, jump down. These are full-time outside cats (both feral in the beginning) but immediately acclimated to their first times being in the house during winter storms. The oldest cat is 17. She's the one that likes to sleep on the shelf. Features I like: * I appreciate that the unit is easily detached from the window and storable in its flat state. * I also like the way the attention to detail on the zipper. It's securely stitched in and is constructed with a small "flap cover" on the closure end. This prevents kitties from getting snagged. * The fabric is reversible--fluffy on on side, mesh on the other. I added an old folded up cotton t-shirt for extra cushioning, since the support bars aren't padded. * The slip-on cover is washable. I always hang dry because my cats (and I) do not like fake or synthetic laundry scents from dry sheets and detergent fragrance. They avoid coverings and pet beds that have synthetic smells. Overall, it's a great unit at an affordable price. Glad I purchased it.
Was quick and easy to put together - has a summer side and a winter side for your cat's comfort. Very sturdy and has survived many leaps in and out. Has stuck the whole time where prior ones I've had have come off the window.
My cat absolutely loves this product. She sleeping in the hammock most nights and lounges on it frequently. She's a 10 pound cat and I haven't had any worries over it falling off.
Very sturdy. My cat is 13 lbs and he fits great and lounges all day. Only drawback is that it is not foldable
My cat Jewels loves it she can enjoy the view and look at the birds and squirrels or take.a nap .Total bliss.
Easy to put together and seems pretty sturdy. I did have some problems getting the suction to stick onto the window at first, but I think you just need to clean the window section and wet the suction cups first. I got it to stick pretty well after that.
I ended up giving away to friend for her cat it didn't fit my window the claps on my good for new homes
