Holy crap this thing is awesome. My apartment was 90 degrees but I was able to fall asleep in my bedroom with ease with the fan pointed at me. Will be buying another.

You can never go wrong with a Lasko purchase. I have 3 others I purchased 5 years ago and are going stronger than ever!

Well I have one of these fans and I love it. We ordered another one for my mom and it didn't work at all. So we are in the process of returning it for another one. I hope it works as well as mine does.

I wish it a slower speed. It has 5 but speed one is like...small tornado. And the twisting lock on the pole of the fan isnt very tight. You might think i am just not strong enough to twist it. You would be wrong. Its not terrible but it does slip down throughout the night. And sometimes it slams all the way down if I dont notice it is falling. I wish the remote could also turn the fan. But for the purpose of cooling me down while I sleep it does fine.

I love the amount of air this fan moves! However, I could only give it 3 stars because the first time I tried using the oscillate button on top of the fan motor, its cap came right off. There was no way to fix it, seems there isn't anything holding the button on. For the price, I would have thought it would be a rock solid unit.

I read the reviews on this fan and a number of people said that they could not get it to extend to it's full height no matter how much they tightened the "screw" on the pole. I figured they were doing something right. WRONG! You put the fan together, extend to it's tallest height, twist the screw on the pole tightly and-the top pole just slides down in to the bottom one down to it's shortest height. It works fine but for 40.00 I want to be able to use a fan the way it's designed to with different options. Back to the store it went. I think it does this because of the plastic parts they use for the threading now.

Great output!! Pathetic stand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Emailed the company x2 complaining about the stand not locking in and you can't extend it, if you do it will fall over because the force of air is to strong!! Just asked the company if there was anything that could be done about it!! Not worth the money!! Company refuses to respond!!

After 6 months of lite use (on speed 2) the fan started slowing down, then when you try to cut it on the blades wouldn't catch, then would start spinning randomly. One day while using the fan I smelled burning, so I opened the back to clean it thinking it was dust but to my surprise the little connectors (little zip ties) were burning off. This fan has been nothing but a hazard for me.
