So, like you, I wondered what the difference was between this fan for fifty something versus the other 20" Lasko fan floor fan for 40.00, so I purchased both. Well, first you can mount this one on the wall, and on low this thing is like medium on the on the other one and high is like a fricking wind storm. So if you want something for the garge, basement, or to dry out the floors, this is the one you want. The other is great for living spaces where you want a nice breeze. Both are very quiet.
This is our third cyclone. It is on every night in our bedroom for comfort plus to add some white noise so my wife can get to sleep faster. It also helps drown out the noise I hear from my CPAP. The only fan we buy for the bedroom.
outstanding product! quiet and moves an incredible volume of air. definitely the best floor fan i have ever purchased and highly recommend this product.
i searched online for this particular fan because lowes no longer carries it and the price was aboaut 4$ cheaper at Walmart than home depot..this is the 3rd one of this brand (lasko) and this style (round flloor fan-cyclone)that i have had over the last few years and i really like it..it has 3 speeds and can be rotated upwards or down depending upon your needs..the only drawback is the grille does not come off, so if you need to dust the fan (which i recommend)you need a hand duster that will squeeze in between the small grille spaces, or a good suction attachment from a vacuum..all in all a very good product...
They call this the "Cyclone", but they should call it the hurricane! The amount of air it puts out on LOW is stronger than my other fans on HI! Ratcheted tilts make it simple and easy to put the flow where you want and need it....and it stays there!!! It's even wall mountable, so there is absolutely NOTHING about this fan that isn't fantastic. Get it now, before the summer rush!!!!!!!
I get very hot at night when I'm sleeping, and this fan is so powerful and produces so much air that I would buy it again and again.
This is my all-time favorite fan. I have four of them. They are quiet and put out a large area of air circulation.
Sturdy with good air movement. The tilt feature is nice. Wish it had the timed off option like another Lasko fan I have. When not tilted it fits on my windowsill nicely to draw in outside air. Not any quieter than your average floor fan, but overall a great product. As the seller notes, you cannot take it apart to wipe the fan blades, so I marked down one star.
We had purchased this type of fan before and it worked very well. I've noticed this one isn't as fast so it doesn't push as much air though. Although since it is going to be getting very hot here in the next couple of days it will be used to it's fullest potential. This Lasko fan is one of 6 we have, and purchased them because they were made in the U.S.A..
I ordered a Fan Similar to this and it had a Remote. i already have one with a remote and needed one more. it showed it was available but instead, you substituted and adjusted the price to a cheaper fan. i needed the fan so i kept it and wished I wouldn't of. i could of got the same Fan for $20.00 cheaper on Amazon. i won't make the Mistake again, i will just order from Amazon. i don't understand how Walmart could be 20.00 more Expensive then Amazon.
