I picked up this adjustable window screen mainly to protect the original screens in my apartment. I've got a couple of cats who love to paw at the windows, and rather than let them tear up the apartment's screens and get charged for it later, I figured it was better to let them beat up a screen I actually own. This one does the job perfectly. The adjustable width made it easy to get it in place, and the wood frame feels sturdier than the cheap plastic options out there. The mesh lets in plenty of airflow while still keeping bugs out. Installation was quick—just adjust it to size and pop it in. If you've got pets that are a little too curious, this is a good way to protect your security deposit. Overall, it's a solid, no-frills screen that does exactly what I needed it to.

Not much has changed with these over the years, which makes it a breeze to set up and put in window, so easy, the kids could do it, the size was true to fit, and we love them, they keep the bugs out, and stop our fur babies in their tracks, not that they actually try to get out, but you get the idea of the sturdiness, highly recommend.

I purchased 3 for my apartment because the screens in my apartment have holes and gaps around the frame. I needed to be able to open my windows on nice days without getting eaten up by mosquitos. These are adjustable, making it easy to install. I'd buy again. Maybe different sizes, depending on how far I want to open my windows.

These adjustable window screens were an absolute lifesaver this spring. My apartment windows didn't have screens, and despite asking management about it multiple times, nothing ever got done. I ordered 9 screens 2out of the 9 are difficult to open %26 close but look fine. Once installed they should be fine. The heavy aluminum verses the vinyl mess screen is safer for my cat to enjoy the breeze and less able to tear it. Being able to put the frame inside the window track keeps her from pushing it out!

PERFECT for opening up my bathroom window and putting this in for the cats. It gives a second layer of protection in case the cats get a little anxious if they see an outside critter and still lets them feel the fresh air, see outside, and a different set of stimuli

My mom uses this too keep her small dog on the deck, and it works perfectly. Also works well at keeping tipsy mothers from leaving the deck as well, because she tried to step over it and missed and stepped right on it and broke it. So we had to buy a second to replace it.

I bought it for a horizontally sliding window. It works fine in a vertical opening of that window, but there's nothing to hold it extended, so the top part slides down. I put a clamp on the window frame to hold the screen up. I might buy another one for another window, which slides vertically.

A couple of years ago I bought an adorable house in November, figured out it didn't have screens on the windows till spring, when I wanted to let fresh air in. A friend told me about these handy dandy inserts. I automatically went to Walmart online to see if they had them. I love them. I just bought 4 more for every other room in the house. They come in different sizes to fit weird window sizes.

i purchased this for a small kitchen window. i just recieved it and it is full of holes. i am elderly and do not drive so returning it is not an option (hence, why I had it delivered). come on Walmart, you can do better than this?! yes, it is an imexpensive screen but it is made to keep bugs out. with holes, well bugs come in. useless! walmart make this right, will you?
