We purchased this fan after visiting a friend's house with a similar fan. I would have never thought to use this fan indoors. However, it takes the coolest air in the house (on the floor) and shoots it across the room. We have skylights in our house and it tends to get warm in the summer (even with AC). This cools it right off. It would also be nice for camping (mosquitos can't fly in the wind), for a shop, or for any project (drying wet paint on walls or freshly washed floors). The whole fan rotates, so you can put it whatever angle you want to.
I already own this same fan at home and as an over the road trucker I needed a reliable fan that moved allot of air at night and well this bad boy does the trick. Best of all it only uses 125 watts and i can run it off a 300 watt power inverter in my truck with no problems.
The best fan I've ever owned. I used to think Vornado's were great until I bought this. Compared to this fan, the Vornado is like a cheap desk fan. I now own 6 of these fans.
As a drummer, I need a good fan to keep me cool when performing at outside venues in the Texas humid heat. I've used this fan before, provided by a sound company, but had to have one of my own.
The fact that it has 2 extention type plugs on the side make this unit act like an extension cord which is very handy for is.
This fan is great! Great blower. My ac went out this summer when it was very hot, this really helped. Hot muggy summers great on the patio. I think it's a bit overpriced. Would I still buy it? Yes. Would I recommend this product? Absolutely.
This is the best fan in my life
Great outdoor fan for hot, humid days and nights. This fan really moves some air! It keeps us comfortable when the temps and humidity are up. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We bought a fan like this but red and smaller a few years ago at Walmart and loved it. We could not find any of the red ones so we bought this one. This one is bigger and heavier than the red one but works very well. We find soooo many ways to use these fans and use them in our home and camping. This past camping trip we were having trouble getting our wet campfire wood to burn, it just smoked, so we had the fan blow on it for a bit and boom, a great smoke free campfire. Also works great for directing the smoke from a campfire. We love using it inside the camper too. We use it out on our deck in the summer to keep the bugs off us at night and to keep cool during the day. I love how it is easy to carry and it has great power to it. We used it to dry the stain on our deck real fast so we could add a second coat sooner. The four stars is only because we wish we could find the smaller model. It is pretty quiet for all the air it moves.
Not sure why they call this a Pro-Performance High Velocity, it had a normal wind Velocity. The unit is nice looking but was small & had no power for an almost a $70 fan.
