the sports game I think is a must have! very fun and entertaining! the whole family can join in! it has 9 games on it, super goalie, karate, baseball, bowling, swimming, rope climbing, weightlifting, skateboarding, and snowboarding. this whole game does deal with the subject of math, and I did notice on the bowling game for instance that there is a little advanced math, but if your kid doesn't know how to add that high they can always ask for help. there are hints if they get stuck. and it tells them why they are wrong on an answer. my kids love the karate game you hit the correct shape its really fun I even like playing it! 4 people can play at a time making it really fun and family oriented. math in this game deals with addition, subtraction, patterns and shapes. this is the most fun I've ever had with math, and that's saying a lot I hate math!!
The LeapTV Sports Game is a family favorite. The age range is 4-7 but even my 3 year old can play with a little guidance. It has 9 different sports to play so it's like having 9 games in 1. All of the games are focused on teaching your kids math including Addition, Number Recognition, Patterns, Shapes, and Subtraction. The curriculum automatically adjusts to each child's learning level. The 9 sports activies are Super Goalie which is soccer, Baseball Bash, Karate Time, Bowling Super Strike, Swim to Win, Skateboard Rush,Rope it up, snowboard Dash, and Feats of strength. Many of the sports activities use your body motion to play the games and your child will love seeing themselves on the TV screen. You do need adequate lighting for the camera to accurately recognize your childs movements. Some of the other sports games you will use the controller for things like swinging the bat in baseball, rolling the ball for bowling, or conttrolling the skateboard in Skateboard Rush. We found this game to be a ton fun for the whole family. Even Mom and Dad like to play. This is a mulitplayer game where up to 4 people can play but only one controller is required for multiple players. You can compete against each other or if you only have one player you comete against Leap, Lily, and Tag which are the LeapFrog characters. There is la great deal of physical activity in this one which is a wonderful and fun filled way to get your little one moving. Perfect for these upcoming winter months when the kids spend more time indoors. If you have, or are getting the LeapTv gaming sytem you will definitely want to pick up this game. Probably our family's favorite and is fun for everyone. Plus with so many sports to choose from you are sure to find something for everyone while keeping your kids active and strengthening their math skills while they play.
The Leapfrog LeapTV Sports! Educational, Active Video game is so much fun! There are 9 games/ sports included on the disc (Super Goalie, Karate, Baseball, Bowling, Swimming, Rope Climbing, Weightlifting, Skateboarding, and Snowboarding). The games focuses on Mathematics (Addition, Subtraction, Patterns, and Shapes). The game is suggested for kids ages 4-7 years old, but my boys are 3 years old and have a lot of fun. They are a little young for the addition and subtraction, we just have to help them out a little with figuring out the right answer, but they are learning. They can do the patterns and shapes on their own. What I like most about this game is that you can play in 3 different ways (body motion, classic controller, and pointer controller). The game can be played with 1-4 players. Each child can have their own personalized curriculum, because the game adjusts to their skill level. It fun for everyone. More kids playing, more the fun. Another great thing about the game is you enter your kids age and it starts them at the appropriate starting point. Kids can also hit the hint button if they need a little help finding the right answer. If they get the answer wrong the game also explains it to the child. My boys really like seeing themselves on the tv screen. Since my boys are on the younger side, I love the fact that the game is easy for them to play by jumping, climbing, chopping, and blocking. The game really gets them moving. It makes me happy as a parent that I know not only are my kids having a ton of fun, but they are also learning so much at the same time. I think this game is something my kids will be able to play for years because the game can grown with their learning and skills. I would definitely recommend to anyone! Your kids will love it!
This is the second game I have gotten a chance to test out for the Leap TV, this product has not disappointed me in any way. I absolutely love that my kids don't realize that they are learning while they play. Its all fun and games to them. This Sport game officers different mini games which you are able to play a single game or as an Event Challenge and you can set the game for 1 or up to 4 players. The individual games are bowling this game uses a controller that will simulate you throwing the ball at the pins. Snow boarding and Skateboard rush which are very similar where you use the remote control to move your board to collect coins. Rope it up and swimming to win are very similar, no controller needed for this game kids pretend to climb up a rope by moving their arms to collect coins or move there arms to swim and collect coins. Feats of strength child moves arms to simulate them pulling down, up, or to the sides weight lifting no controller used on this game, Karate no controller used for this game you use your body to chop/punch different shapes. Super goalie is where you use you hands to block shots from making a goal, no controller for this game. Baseball bash where you use the controller to pretend to hit a ball. All of the games have math trivia in that can power up the game they are playing. All I can say is this Sport game was a hit for both my 8 year old and my 3 year old.
I received this game to review. It goes with the Leap TV Gaming System. The Leap TV Sports video game contains 9 games. They are Super Goalie, Karate Chop, Weight Lifting, Skateboarding and Snowboarding, Baseball, Rope Climbing, Bowling and Swimming. You start by entering the childs grade or age. You can use the quick play mode or the challenge mode. The game teaches math and subtraction as well as patterns shapes and colors. There are hints if the child needs them. Children can play alone or with someone else. It is a 2 to 4 player game(one controller). The game has 2d and 3d shapes and lots of bright colors. The game contains some of the characters from other games used with the system. My grandchildren enjoy seeing themselves on the tv screen playing the game. It makes it a lot of fun. They learn and have fun at the same time. I hear a lot of laughter while they are playing. They can level up in these games. There are three ways to play, classic ,pointer and motion. The games are age appropriate for ages 4 through 7 but older children also like it. It keeps them moving while learning. It is a very educational and active game. You do need a well lit room for the camera to see your children plainly. Just plug the cartridge into the gaming system and away you go! You may need a wi fi connection. I really am pleased with the design of this game. It is quite duriable. Well worth the money.
The packaging is nice and attention grabbing for young kids between the ages of 4 to 7, it has nine games: SUPER GOALIE, KARATE, BASEBALL, ROPE CLIMBING, SWIMMING, BOWLING, WEIGHT LIFTING, SNOWBOARDING AND SKATEBOARDING. Going through each game was fun, exciting and invigorating, it gets you up of the coach and moving, the games are very active and engaging. Kids can take turns to play the games, it will teach them how to interact with other kids, it will improve their physical fitness abilities, it will enhance their communication skills and teach them how to be team players. I especially liked that the games teaches addition, subtraction, shapes, patterns, number recognition and number sequences. It is good that the kids will be able to see themselves playing the games, the games allow the kids to block goals , they will be able to karate chop and kick, and also bowl strikes with addition. Overall this is a fun filled learning game where the whole family can participate, I went back to play the games over and over again my favorite is the Super Goalie. I can see all of the games becoming favorites and it will be the type of games that children will play time and time again, I would recommend that all families with children try these games you won't regret it, the games will keep them alert and on their toes. A big thank you to the THE SPARK REVIEWER PROGRAM for allowing me to test this product.
Leap Frog Dance & Learn is a game for the Leap TV system exclusively. This game is designed for children who are ages 4-7, which is pre-K to 1st grade. The game teaches the children Addition, Subtraction, Patterns, and Shapes. There are 9 different sports games which give the kids a good variety to keep them happy for a long time. The games are super easy to learn. There are on screen instructions that use visual cues to let you know what you need to do and while playing the game helps the kids along with hints and answer guidance. Game play was very fun with my niece and nephew. We had a lot of fun jumping around and playing these games. It was nice to see them do something besides sit on the couch and watch TV or play on the tablet. I liked that the education aspect of the game adjusts to the kids learning level and it grows with them as they progress. I also liked that the learning aspect is hidden well behind the fun so the kids don't really see it as learning as much. This game works with the camera and you will need a room that has reasonably good lighting so that the camera can pick everything up. The more light the better! Overall we really enjoyed this game and would recommend it to any Leap TV owners!
First off, this game is rated for ages 4-7yrs. My boys are ages 3, 6, and 9. They love being able to really get into the game by using their body motions to block soccer balls, swim to collect tokens, karate chop boards and blocks, and climb the rope. They also love being able to transform the controller into a baseball bat and the transform it back to skateboard, and back again to go bowling. I love how the math lessons automatically adjusts to each of my children's learning levels. For example, we put it on two player on the skateboard game for my 9yo and 3yo. During my 3yo’s turn, he had to complete shape patterns, then when it was my 9yo’s turn, he had to do number patterns and whatnot. All nine of these different sports games provides the added learning opportunity to practice a variety of mathematics skills such as addition, number recognition, completing patterns, shapes, subtraction, counting, and comparing fractions. Naturally, considering the age range for this game and my children’s ages my youngest son struggles with some of the problems and my oldest son finds most of it too easy. However, they still enjoy it and provide us with tons of laughs. My only complaint really has nothing to do with the game itself but the camera for the system. You need a ton of light for the camera to pick up your child’s body movements the best. I have opened all of the curtains, turned on the lights and it still shows up real dark on the screen. We also have an Xbox 360 with a kinect camera and it picks up way better than this one in the same room with the same lighting.
The LeapFrog LeapTV Sports! is a great game for kids & adults. The game is aimed for 4-7 year olds but it's lots of fun for all families. There are 9 different sports to play, soccer, rope climbing, skateboarding, baseball, karate, swimming, weight lifting, bowling and snowboarding! You use addition and subtraction even fractions to earn points. Also patterns and shapes. The kids get good exercise too! You don't sit and play this game because it's interactive. The kids can see themselves on screen. They karate chop boards, block soccer balls and dodge water balloons. You can play alone or with another player. They also can take their picture to put on achievement cards for certain achievements that they can earn. I have 3 kids that range from 2-10. The questions were too easy for my 10 year old but he still enjoyed playing. The questions in this game would be too difficult for anyone under 4 but again they could still have fun playing certain sports. Better than the Wii or kinect in my opinion!!
The LeapFrog LeapTV Sports! video game is an educational and interactive video game recommended for ages 4-7, but you can definitely play with your child too! This game has many different mini games in it such as bowling, swimming, soccer, and snowboarding as well as others. Most games also have little counting exercises in them (adding 1 + 3 = 4) to gain "bonus points" and help children learn while they are having fun playing! Some games require use of the remote, while others require just your body, and others require the remote to be used as a pointer. Up to four people can take turns playing on a single control, or multiple controls if you have them. I thought these games were very fun for kids and adults alike. Playing with your child can definitely be a fun way to spend an afternoon. I think the games in which you use your body via the camera, such as swimming and karate, are a little more hard to control because of the poor camera quality, and only worsens with low lighting in the room which you are playing in. For the price I think LeapFrog could have definitely included a better quality camera for these games, but they are fun anyways. Using the regular control is by far the easiest way to play this game. You definitely have to get used to how to move and what works best for the camera, or when you are using the pointer control, but trial and error are part of the fun in playing these ways. All in all I think this is a fun game that is definitely worth a try!
