Learning Resources Conversation Cubes, Social Dice, Ages 6+

These geometric shapes are a great tool to enhance and cement conceptual understanding. Whether students are just learning about vertices and edges, or diving deep into volume and surface area, these shapes are a must have in any math classroom.

Some of the questions were very odd, but they worked amazingly for my random exam questions! I just re-rolled if it was a weird question.

Great conversation starter. I have the class sit in a circle, draw a die and answer the question. They all love the activity!

I use these in speech therapy with children of all ages, who are working on asking questions and topic maintenance. Nice variety of questions, personal (do you have any pets?) and hypothetical (if you were to travel to the moon, what would you bring).

The conversation tool was used on an inpatient unit of the psychiatric ward. The patient enjoyed the cubes and wanted to continue with the group even after the timeframe for the group had ended. We use it at least once a week and always receive a hig level of participants. i would recommend the conversation tool as a group as well as an ice breaker for any event.
