got it for a kiddo that ended up already having a toy similar to this. some differences they loved about this one, the games- esp that they had different levels. gives her a chance to feel successful if she's not up for a challange at that moment. the fact that it had real denominations of coins and could calculate what she put in. She looooved that aspect. and the scale was a huge hit as well. the biggest con was she put coins in it and when grabbing it to take home turned it on it's side. quite a few of the coins are stuck inside the register now. from what we read they can be retrieved with a screwdriver. hopefully that's the case when they get home
Grand kids love it learning the difference between quarters Nichols dimes penny's and adding everything subtracting . They are wanting one for Christmas. For their house
My great grandson loves this toy very much. He has learned a great deal about money since getting this gift!!
My grandson was ecstatic when he opened his birthday present! There was an older model at my sisters house where we spent Christmas, and he enjoyed it so much that I got this one for his birthday! Excellent!! Teaches kids how to count money back!! Not many folks can do that these days!! Have fun while learning!!
This was a gift to our daughter that we were sure would add to her imaginative play. It has been, by far the most favorite Christmas gift. She engages everyone and up to this point has been struggling to comprehend the differences between the coins. I look forward to to her not only understanding the values but also the costs of items. So far it's just been play time. She just turned 4 yrs old.
Yes was also just as advertised and came earlier than anticipated!
My kids and I really enjoy this cash register. Sometimes it gets tricky on which buttons to press but we are still learning. We haven't tried all of the math levels but when we did try 1 we liked it.
I was concerned because some of the reviews I read mentioned a problem with a "CB Open" -- and then nothing works on the cash register. Why pay for a register with all the extra's that make it realistic AND have learning games if it won't work? But I took a chance! We've only been using it for one week, but, honestly, the CB Open thing started from the first time we turned it on! Once I realized that CB was coin bank and not cash box (ie: drawer) -- I showed my 6 year old developmentally delayed son that you have to push that yellow 'door' where the coins go until it clicks - and then the register works. Now, no problem! He's already - without any urging from me - very interested in getting the coins in - and even playing the game and getting the correct coin in! He's also getting more and more into pretend/imaginative play and I am looking forward to lots of shopping trips in my future, buying things from his stores! He LOVES that it has a credit card and a coupon card -- so REAL, just like when we go to the grocery store!
The children in my child care facility love using the cash register. The only concern is when opening the cash drawer, it flies out and if any coins are in the register they pop out of the register and land all over the place.
When coins are put in slot they are always identified by the machine as quarters even when they are not. After resetting via the reset button it started to work correctly and then started to malfunction again, despite having fresh batteries. Returning this but will look for another cash register made by another company.
