This item is great for a variety of ages: my 2 year old enjoys putting the legs in the holes and my 3 year old can talk through the numbers and the shapes. It kept both entertained and educated and would even recommend it as a gift as the colors are vibrant and it's small enough to be portable (if preferred). Overall, great product and excited to see how the uses continue to expand!
Absolutely adorable and educational. Seymour comes with 10 baby turtles which can be used to teach colors, numbers and shapes and be stored away neatly in its shell. Its easily cleaned and made from recycled materials. There are five different shapes including heart, circle, triangle and more. The pegs go into the shell easy and are easy for little hands, teaches fine motor skills and shape/color recognition.
I got this for my son to help him learn his shapes. It has helped him tremendously and it also helps with hand eye coordination. I would definitely recommend this to any parents whose child is struggling on their shapes and hand coordination. I love how it can do both.
Seymour is more than just a toy; it's a tool for building school-readiness skills. It fosters creativity, imagination, and problem-solving abilities while introducing foundational concepts like numbers, colors, and shapes. As a parents I use this toy to complement early learning curricula
First, Seymour is ADORABLE! He is the cutest!! Second, all of my kids loved playing with him. Even my tweens! He's thought provoking, easy to play with, the younger children really liked him as well. Directions and play are very simple. Colors are vivid. Fun all around!!
I gave this toy to my adult daughter who works with special needs children and they loved it! They all like playing with the turtle and had alot of fun with it. They aren't easy on any toys, but this toy held up to their rough play. It's also educational, which they try to provide with the children. Very good product
This toy is wonderful for toddlers who are starting to learn shapes and colors. The shapes are easy to insert and remove and makes the educational part fun for the child!
My kid just turned 18 months old and LOVES this product. He loves pointing out the colors of the mini turtles and the different numbers on each. It keeps him busy for sure! I'm excited for him to use it more appropriately as he gets older and his fine motor skills get stronger. My only cons are age specific for my guy and his skill level 1. The shell of the turtle separates from the body VERY easily and my kiddo doesn't quite have the dexterity to put it back on himself. He gets super frustrated and will need to find someone to help him put it back together over and over again. 2. It wobbles, I think for the extra challenge. Again, this is frustrating for my 18m old who is still honing in on his fine motor skills. 3. Each mini turtle *kind* of fits in every hole, no matter if it's the right shape or not. He has to look at the bottom of the turtle to see the shape before putting it in the correct shape hole on the shell. This is a little advanced for my guy and he gets frustrated. But even with my cons, I 100% recommend this toy because of how much my toddler loves it and how long it keeps him busy, even if he can't use it 100% appropriately quite yet.
Thank You Learning Resources for sending us Seymour for us to review! I love that this product was made using recycled products, you can tell by looking at the package and the durability of the toy is good. My 2 year old son is loving counting to 10 so this was perfect for him. The only downfall is so many pieces to lose about 3 baby turtles have gone missing already
Overall, my daughter has had a very good experience with this toy. I think it's very interactive and provides different educational initiatives such as color recognition, counting, and matching basic and complex geometric shapes. Additionally, this toy has a storage system that allows her to put everything away after playing, and the overall design of a turtle with her babies is very cute and colorful. The only con I could identify is that the smaller pieces easily fall out of place, but otherwise, this toy is definitely recommended for toddlers.
