Our five year old son liked playing with this activity set. He liked looking at the pictures of the X-rays and the people in the set. The included activity book was a fun addition. Our other children enjoyed playing with it as well. I like the sturdy pieces and the fun of teaching biology to our kids through this set. It's interactive and different.
I loved how easy it was for my son to explore the different names of his organs as well as how they work! He really enjoyed building with the 3D model We loved the 24-page write-and-wipe preschool activity book, it had tons of puzzling mazes, writing and sequence exercises, and all kinds of space factsthat my son really enjoyed hearing. The Scan the Skeleton "magic" x-ray reader was super interactive and tons of fun. I think it was my son's favorite part.
This product is great! Very educational about the different body systems. The x ray part was fun! My kids had a blast examining and playing doctor and using those to discuss the different parts of the body! The quality is good. I could see it getting some wear and tear in the long run my kids play rough. The book that came with it is very informative. Definitely a fun product for kids that age range
This set is a great, cost effective way to have some hands on learning. There's not much to it, which is what brings the price to affordable, but there's enough hands on material to make it fun to learn. If you're looking for something affordable to give a visual aid and hands on learning, this will be a great fit for you!
My granddaughter loved this. The visual effects are perfect. Very easy to understand. The quality of the pieces is very good. We sat for hours learning and she could tell me parts of the body. She was very excited to show her daddy what she had learnt.
My daughter has loved learning about the human body. Her favorite part is the x-ray. We have played with this for hours. It is a great educational toy!
This product is listed for ages 4+, so I encouraged my 6 and my 8 year old daughters to test it out. They both loved interacting with it. The X-Ray was an especially big hit. The activity book was easy enough for my 6 year old to read, understand, and complete the activities. My 8 year old had fun holding the X-Ray with the correct bones up to the correct body part on the stand-up character. However, my 8 year old quickly lost interest. After a few minutes, she became bored and wanted to move onto a different activity. I also thought the box was a little too big for the activity.
This product was definitely a welcomed surprise. I was expecting a booklet with some cards and information about the Human Body but the X-ray cards definitely got the attention of both of my children who were wanting to see different cards at the same time. The little person with interchangeable pieces that show different systems of the body was also very educational and easier to teach due to the visual aspect of it. For the cons, these are the comments made by my children: 1) They were expecting to see an X-ray card of a foot since they saw one on page 5 of the booklet. Page 5 has an X-ray of a skull, hand and foot and the physical X-ray cards we received have a skull, and hand but no foot. 2) The cards are a bit too small for the stand that came with it. Once the cards are placed in the stand, if the cards are not placed perfectly in the center, the sides of the cards tend to want to slide out frequently. 3) From the cards being slid in and out of the stand, the card corners started to come undone. The cardboard corners started fraying a little bit, which isn't that big of a deal, but the comment was made. All in all, an amazing product that I will definitely recommend to other parents and educators since it teaches in a very simple way easy for all to understand. Very fun as well.
I received this item for free in exchange for this review. I had my 10yr old help my 5yr old with it. The 5 yr old lost interest very quickly. My 10yr old found it very interesting and better then ones I had bought him previously.
This toy did not really appeal to my five year old. He was more interested in the skeleton piece more than anything else (I blame the Halloween influence of October.) He was interested in looking at the book more than playing with the actual toy.
