As far as Lego's are concerned, this set is so worth the money. It has so many cool characters and the ship separates just like the real deal. It is played with so much more than the other Lego sets. Plus it is a bit of history with our USA astronauts going to the moon.
It arrived on time for me to get it, wrap it, and send it out of state for a birthday present.
My son was very happy with this gift. The price was great!!
This was a gift for someone, and I haven't given it to him yet, but it arrived VERY well packaged, with bubble wrap and extra plastic wrap, so I feel confident it will be in good condition. He requested this specific set, so I'm sure he'll enjoy it.
I'm a huge fan of the Lego space sets, and this one looked interesting, but I was not a fan of the list price considering the number of pieces. I'm used to seeing a Disney tax or a Marvel tax on some sets they do, but the Lego City ones generally aren't priced beyond the normal range, and this one seemed a bit excessive. But I got it here on sale, and couldn't have been happier then. It's a fun build, especially for a space fan like myself. The different sections all have different features and details and build mechanics. The figures are OK, nothing really special to me, but overall it's got a good look and will be a good display piece for a while.
Really interesting set - bigger than it looks in the pictures.
My great grandson loves it, need I say more?
Bought this for my 8 year old grandson who loved it. He had no problems with assembly as he was well familiar with Lego. I couldn't find this item in any stores mid December but Walmart had it online and it was on sale!
Alot of fun to assemble.
First the bad news… all the large transparent pieces were scratched despite complaining on multiple occasions Lego fails to protect these fragile pieces. Lego is a premium brand and charge a premium price and shouldn't look second hand out of the box. All the 2x2x1 white bricks were a different shade of white. The stickers were smudged in the centre and the die cut was off. Lastly I had to buy this elsewhere as I kept getting 404 errors for this set on release date. Good news is it's a great looking set that was fun to build but I wish there was a way to dock the Luna spaceship as you can the Luna Rover to the Luna Base… a real missed opportunity for playability
