Recently took to building Harry Potter kits. Love the books. Find that fitting the pieces together aids my dexterity, concentration and co ordination, very important at my time of life. Plus my great grand daughter has something to play with when she visits. Her mum is also an Harry Potter fan as was her mum so at least it gives us a common interest
overall this is a very good set, but on the small clock it doesn't attach right. so its always a bit crooked
My 8 year old grandson really loved this set, even though he was a bit surprised to receive it. As he said, "I'm not really that crazy about Harry or his stuff." However, he has hanged his mind after receiving this item. for his birthday. Put the whole thing together in less than an hour.
I missed this set when it first came out and was very please to get it from Wal-Mart at a sale price. Especially enjoy getting the collectible mini-figures.
My SIL likes Legos. He is also a Harry Potter fan. I thought he would like this set for Christmas ,and I was right! As a matter of fact, he wants to set it up next Christmas decorated for the holiday!
Though the build was quite easy for the 9 year old, he was very disappointed that bag 3 that contained the collectible tiles had 2 of the same character. This isn't the first time that building sets that tiles were duplicated.
Poor delivery experience left the gift box in bad shape. Received it a day after the expected delivery time frame, not a huge deal. But the state of the package (the Lego box was placed inside of a Walmart shipping bag) was poor. A large label was placed onto the box in an attempt to cover a rip in the box, a corner was "smushed," tears on the edge of the box, overall not good care taken on the package. The box wasn't damaged to a point that pieces were spilling out, but at this point, I'm somewhat at the end of time to get a replacement option, so it will have to do.
I am a BIG Lego HP collector, but I now have to write a negative review. The recent wave of HP has been the weakest yet. After the very poor 2021 wave (Hogsmeade Village being an exception as it was top quality), I keep hoping they will get better again, but it's only getting worse. I am not talking about the difference of opinion with green versus grey roofs, I am talking about a more important issue: - We have gone from awesome high quality play and display sets (2018-2020) that were excellent, to these beyond poor sets. I don't know why Lego have done this, but we have gone from sets that not only look awesome on display and very realistic for adults but yet had good playability too for children, to sets that now look awful on display, aren't realistic looking and also do not have the playability - we no longer have proper stud floors but those awful and useless grate/mesh floors for instance. This set is far too expensive and isn't worth it. When you have quality sets like the previous waves, these pale in comparison and look terrible side-by-side with the much higher quality 2018-2020 sets. It's sad to say but I am actually done now with buying the HP sets until the quality goes back up again. Lego you are losing a big portion of your buyers as Adults can't justify these poor looking sets - remember, we are NOT children, we need better looking more realistic sets and there are none in this wave. In the previous wave 2018-2020 you managed to balance both Adult and Children Lego HP brilliantly so both could enjoy the sets, this is no longer the case and it is very sad.
I ordered 3 of these sets because they were discounted. My order was canceled because they were “unavailable” but these sets ARE still on the site as available but now they're at a different price. If Walmart made a mistake, they should honor the price originally listed.
they sent me a minecraft lego set instead of this one which is nke apparently sold out everywhere. suddenly came 4 or 5 days sooner than it was supposed too and i havent heard back from anyone reguarding this issue yet. if I could give 0 stars I would.
