Straight to the point. I turned this amp into a real one. Bought a marshal micro and put the insides from that into this Lego amp, I plan on giving to it my brother who is a great musician. The building experience was great especially the inside of the amp. I didn't find any problems building the strat other than the “strings” takes a bit to get them into a good position. Other than that this build is great. It looks really good on my shelf. (WIP IN PICTURE)
I brought this with the love of looking at guitars - because I've no hope in playing but also a massive Lego fan. It's taken me quite some hours to get this together I'll be honest the strings absolute pain in the rear! BUT do what I did read recheck the images and walk away then recheck the images. You really gotta look and check what your doing, I feel the images in the book could be so much more helpful on some of the construction because they were at the wrong angle thus causing the problems. Figure that out and your away.
This was a great build, because it had so much meaning and putting it together. See my stepfather has always been a father to me through a long life time of year's growing up. He is a huge musician and has a lot of guitars, including fenders. It meant a lot for me to put this together for him because it's hard to thank a man sometimes that has raised me to be a great man. So putting this together meant a lot to me and it meant a lot to him receiving it. Thank you Lego for giving me this opportunity to do some thing for my father.
An amazing Lego, fun to build, not expensive, a cool idea and it's just beautiful ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
So much fun. Attention to detail is superb. My guitar teacher wants one now.
My daughter loved building this guitar looks very good like her real guitar instructions were good and had fun building
I received this from my son for my birthday. It was a nice surprise gift as I play guitar as a hobby etc. I really enjoyed the build. Didn't take too long. I did space it out over few days. The techniques used were very clever. The headstock was good. Bit weak though as it comes apart too easily. Not a problem , I won't be doing jimi Hendrix on it . Great showpiece. The amp was my favourite part of the build. Looks fantastic. The guitar looks great too, in red. Pros: very nice build. Looks great on a shelf. Worth the money. The option to build a black body is great. Cons: only weakness is the headstock . Not a problem if displaying in shelf. Kudos to the guy who came up with this idea .
Lego's Fender Guitar is a great idea and a very fun build. The details are amazing, including the tubes and RCA inputs. The only downside is how fragile the guitar feels; Because it comes apart a little too easily the play value is limited. Otherwise, it adds a cool touch to my music room and brings together two of my favorite hobbies.
Just finished the guitar, that means I'm halfway through the build. The guitar is very flimsy, specially in the peghead where the strings go, not that well engineered. Also, the trem cover in the back has nowhere to fit the bottom half (unless there is a step I've missed, but I checked plenty of times in the instructions book). Also, I'm missing 2 parts, which makes my stratocaster unfinished. The peghead should really be re-engineered so that holds string tension better.
The box was extremely beat up, this was suppose to be a gift for my girlfriend and the box looks like it was thrown at a wall multiple times, not so appealing as a gift anymore.
