Absolutely worth the buy. The characters and level are 100% authentic to the level. Yes the 1x1 studs are repetitive but it adds to the look. I can only hope they bring out expansions such as labyrinth, final zone or even sonic 2, 3 and knuckles based sets!

Definitely has to have been my most anticipated LEGO set in recent memory, and it completely delivered. So nice to see a set based on sonic the hedgehog after the great character pack for LEGO Dimensions in 2016.. The Sonic minifig has received a nice upgrade with better colours, added side detail on the legs, along with other changes to the printing which bring the look of the character closer to his 90's counterpart. Also featuring great building techniques for the brick-built characters with great detail while still keeping at minifig scale.. Green Hill Zone was captured perfectly in this build, with good use of prints on the grass tiles and stickers for the iconic loop.. also with a fun play feature with a working spring to send sonic flying sky-high. Along with the added ability to mix and match the order of the level with modular pieces, it's top-notch. The technic pins at the end allowing for the level to be extended with purchasing another set is a novel idea, and I hope it also may be the lead for more sets in a Sonic the Hedgehog theme.

I absolutely love this set! It was so fun to build, although slightly annoying and fiddly with all of the single tile stacks! But it looks soooo good!

I really enjoyed this build, very nostalgic for me, however the piece count is high because of the amount of tiny bricks to build the base and is it worth the cost, I think you are probably paying more for the brand of sonic than anything else. Don't get me wrong it is a lovely Lego set for my collection and I'm glad I have it just a couple of observations from me

My 14 year old is a huge lego fan. This one took him a couple of days and he was very satisfied with it. Has a good number of pieces for the money and is adult level build. Very good for him - we got him something he really wanted and it paid off.

I loved this little set which has added to my movies games and TV themed Lego collection. (So far 27 sets- including MOC's). Theres loads of little details that took me back and reminded me of playing Sonic when I was a kid. I liked that it was modular too so I built a small piece of the course at a time. And the Sonic figure is great 👍

Fantastic set! This is one of my first LEGO sets I purchased for myself exclusively. I'm a huge Sonic fan and this set is great. A really great build and the extra details not only in the set itself but as well as a the very detailed instruction book made the whole experience amazing. I definitely recommend this set to any Sonic fan and would definitely grab more if they come out with new Sonic sets.

Very good build brings back memories from my childhood playing sonic on the mega drive a great pieace a must buy a very good price also

I haven't purchased/built any Lego sets in the last 15 years but this one was an instant buy as an avid Sonic the Hedgehog fan. And do I have to say that I am glad I did! The build itself might not be overly complicated or some things might be repetitive as stated by others, however none of this bothered me because the end product looks absolutely fantastic! I sincerely hope that we will be seeing more Sonic the Hedgehog sets in the future because there is so much more potential in amazing setpieces!

My son and I built this together. It took us a while to build because there are a lot of steps but ideal for competent adult Lego builders. The build includes Green Hill Zone, Sonic, a crab and Mr Eggman. We were happy with the final product.
