LEGO Jurassic World - T. Rex & Atrociraptor Dinosaur Breakout

This is a fantastic sad that provides loads of fun while building and lots of ideas for playtime. I am looking for other set similar to this.😀

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This is a fun Lego set to put together because you get to build a variety of things: triceratops, vehicles, people, and accessories. As a big fan of both Jurassic World and Legos the set is right up my alley. It consist of 210 pieces four different characters plus a giant triceratops. I had a great time putting this together and can't wait to try the other sets in this series.

The Lego sets I bought for my Grandson, Dean, held his rapt attention because they were so detailed and so many different parts. I would buy them again but he has so much fun with them; he even keeps each different set put up and all of the pieces together. Boys just gotta have fun.

For someone that I would consider an expert on the subject of Lego sets I asked my son what he thought and he said, "it was fast to build and easy". The set is age appropriate for a 7 year old kid as stated on the box. The directions are clear and informative and the end product after it's put together is cool

Easy step by step directions to create a well detailed dinosaur. Realistic coloring for the vehicles and people. I love that there are a variety of things to build. This will bring hours of enjoyment for a young dinosaur lego lover.

The variety of a truck, ATV “buggy” and a dinosaur in LEGO format was a recipe for a great afternoon. The product was high quality and all pieces were included as promised. The content was as illustrated on the box. Building instructions are easy to follow with illustrations making it a great independent activity for kids 6 or fun to do together. I also appreciate the realism of the carrot for the Triceratops, as it is a herbivore, making this set both educational and historically accurate. LEGO play sets also encourage creativity and strategic-thinking. That's an A in my book.

The triceratops looks good, but the other builds are lackluster. The truck has a cool play feature where the good flies off if the triceratops rams the front end. The truck is a middle seat though which looks ridiculous, and you can only fit one minifigure. If they used door peices instead of the 1x3 angle bricks you would be able to fit 2 minifigures with some slight floor modifications(like the Biosyn jeep). I modified mine pretty easily to at least make the truck and minifigure sit left side oriented for a more realistic look. Wait for it to be on sale.

I really like that this is branded as a Jurassic World set but you don't need to like the movie to enjoy this set as the pieces, minifigures, and builds aren't too specific to the movie. I like the play feature of the truck's hood, which pops off, although it may have limited use. The smaller vehicle is good because it allows additional minifigures to be transported and I like that it holds two mini figures. The set's main weakness is the price. You don't get the usual amount of Lego pieces you normally get for $40. The higher price is likely because of the included large Triceratops. You need to decide if owning that piece is worth the additional cost. Overall, the concept and execution of the set are pretty strong, I just wish it was a little cheaper.
