My ten year old son LOVES Minecraft and Legos so this was a huge win! At a very affordable price. He put it together in less than an hour but can also rearrange it two other ways which is very cool to him.

my son was so excited to receive this Lego set. he could not wait to put it together. Once at the end, he realized the instruction let you choose to make either the sheep, a parrot, or heart.

LEGO Minecraft "The Wool Farm" (260 pieces). This one was a fairly easy build (2 big bags of bricks, 3 small ones). Assembling the base plates was the most time-consuming part. This is a building set within a building set too, because, for variety, the large red sheep can be easily disassembled (mostly one stud connections) and changed into a big heart or giant parrot instead. I presume those are statues/monuments in the video game, but, as I've never played it, I don't know. You get a Steve mini figure and three sheep (2 dyed adults and a lamb). Steve comes with a pair of shears (actually 2, in case you lose one) and the red and yellow sheep's larger four stud back bricks can be exchanged with flesh-colored ones to simulate them being shorn of their wool, which is a nice touch. This is a silly-looking kit, but, I like it. Most of the other Minecraft sets are more combat orientated, so, this peaceful, everyday life one is a nice change. The minimalist, blocky style will turn off some people, but, that's what Minecraft looks like, and there's a retro LEGO charm to it. Pretty good value too (retails for 20 dollars, I spent 16). 3.5/5.0 balls of wool.

Maybe I'm spoiled by the EXCELLENT 2020/2021 sets (recently built The "Abandoned" Mine and The Pig House), full of fun building patterns and play features, but this set just... didn't really offer anything interesting for the building experience nor does it have any cute mechanisms to fiddle with afterwards. The bricks in it and the sheep are great, and if you're looking for a lot of bricks and cute animals to complement your existing Minecraft sets to build something original, this will definitely help! Also the HUGE amount of red jumper plates gives me a lot of ideas for fun original builds. So yeah, an affordable brick toolbox with some fun-coloured sheep! But don't expect much more.
