A great set. The A-model has steering and a functional bed. The B-model has a boom that raises/lowers, a functional bucket and it rotates 360 degrees. It's awesome to have 2 builds that are so different yet so playable in such a small and affordable set.
I bought this for my grandson. He isnonly 4 1/2, but he put this together with the help of his dad. They had some great father son time putting this truck together.
Bought for my 7 year old grandson, for Christmas. He was elated to say the least. And he was able to put it together without having a meltdown.
This was a gift for my grandson who loves Lego building toys. He loved it.

This truck comes in handy if you need to deliver a truckload of peanuts across the coffee table. The steering feels great and realistic, and the lifting truck bed has a satisfying action. It's the first set I've bought for myself in a while and it was worth every penny! Bonus: the truck bed also functions as a catapult! (peanuts sold separately)
This set is really fun to build. The dumptruck is really unique. The way you can turn the top wheel to direct the truck is fun. My only two problems with this set is first of all, stickers. But that might just be me, I just prefer for things to be printed rather than putting stickers on myself. Second is that you have to go online to find the instructions for the second build. A bit annoying in my opinion, and would of been better if they included the instructions for the second build in the box.
The best lego sets offer cross adaptability with others, and so the best ones all have the same characteristics: 1. Wheels or Wings (some kind of transport that can be adapted to fit another style, like boating or driving or trains etc) 2. Cheap (3 in 1 sets are all cheap) 3. Maximal Learning (3 in 1 sets give you 3x as many building experiences with a young child) So I'd argue 3 in 1 sets that are cheap, and that have some form of transport mechanism, are best.
