This laptop is amazing! The Ryzen 5 in this laptop is amazingly powerful. I've upgraded the RAM to the maximum supported 12 and this thing is screaming fast. forget about spending twice as much or more on a gaming laptop. This thing has more then enough power to handle gaming and any other tasks that you can throw at it. Fan never runs at high speed and always stays cool along with the low power consumption of the processor. Couple all of that with the backlit keyboard and all the other features this thing packs and you've got one solid machine! Highly recommend this laptop.

okay my Brother is an IT grad and I had him do the research for me and in this market this computer wins for the price! @$449 This is the best laptop you are gonna get. the biggest selling point is the AMD Rayzen 5 5500U this Processor beats any other processors intel or not @ this price range. So if performance is what you are looking for you won't go wrong with this one. Not to mention that blue color is gorgeous and the design is so sleek not to mention the finger print scanner and integrated camera cover and the USB type C port are all nice features at this price point. absolutely recommend it

I bought this laptop to replace an HP 14" notebook that had problems with the battery draining and a camera that stopped working. I used to build computers and used AMD processors all the time but I switched to Intel several years ago. This laptop has made me an AMD believer again. I am super impressed with the speed and battery life. I also like the extra real estate on the screen and the numeric keypad. The HP didn't have a keypad and I struggle without one because I do most of my computer work on a desktop. For the money, this is an excellent buy. If you are looking for a light and inexpensive laptop for travel, this is the way to go.

After purchasing the Lenovo Ideapad 3 Ryzen 5 5500U I just had to let everyone know what a great little laptop this is. First of all the build quality is fantastic, with a very high quality hard ABS/Polycarbonate plastic that I think personally I prefer over aluminum - it doesn't conduct heat and stays very cool to the touch, as well as having a beautiful deep blue finish and being more scratch resistant. The keyboard is excellent and very comfortable to use. Although I would have preferred an IPS display, this TN panel is quite good with excellent viewing angles and good colors, definitely better than I expected. Last, but certainly not least, the Ryzen 5 5500U processor is blazing fast and runs very cool - a big improvement over Intel processors. Some advice for those who may be having trouble with Windows OS - just install a great Linux distro as I did and you won't look back. My distro of choice is Manjaro with the XFCE desktop enviroment(KDE Plasma and many others available also) - everything works perfect, including great WIFI reception and it feels faster and more stable as well. You would have to do an EFI install as Legacy support is not available, but it's really not that difficult. In summary this is the best budget laptop you're likely to find anywhere.

For the model number 82KU003NUS as labeled on the box it came in the model number does match. The picture shows 3 USB 3 type A ports, a full size HDMI port, the power port and power icon with an LED. Numbers refer to location in the picture What is really on the left side is (8) 1 USB 3 type A port, (9) 1 USB type C port, (7) a headphone jack, (6) a full size HDMI port and the (5) power port and that is all there is on the left side. On the right side the picture shows a SD card reader, the Novo button and a headphone jack. What is really on the right side is (12) 1 USB 3 type A port, (11) the SD card reader, the (10) Novo button and to the left of (10) power icon with an LED that blinks when the PC is in standby mode. It comes loaded with bloatware/c'p-ware as usual. After running Windows 10Debloater I still had to uninstall several things and run OOSU10 and still there are bloatware popups/nagware. Once all that is done it runs real well so far. Fast and responsive enough for my 85 year old Mom to surf and shop the web. This had the best specs., price, ratings combination I could find at the time I looked around so I would still say it's a good value so far. Only time will tell if it stays that way. Took away 1 star for the inaccurate picture

The powerful Ryzen 5500U is nothing to skimp at. When properly configured it can run games at 1080p medium high settings. This Lenovo Laptop comes equip with 4GB soldered memory and 4GB 3200 1xR16 module. I highly recommend you replace the user replaceable memory with a 16gb 1xR8 3200 memory module in order to unlock the full performance of the 5500U chip. The SSD is user upgradable but it is a M2 2230 SSD. The size is about the same as the WLAN card. Not a very common consumer size but still upgradeable. Pros: Powerful Processor and APU can run almost anything. Great Backlit keyboard that you usually don't see on laptops this cheap. Responsive fingerprint reader, and a fairly decent webcam microphone combo with physical privacy shutters. Cons: Major turn off time is the TN screen. While it is indeed FHD the viewing angles are horrendous. It looks like a laptop from the early 2000s. Just shifting your sitting position will make the colors on the screen distort. The brightness is over saturated and the color accuracy (what color accuracy lol) is horrendous. You can literally change the color by shifting the screen up or down or left to right. It has nice sounding stereo speakers if you can actually hear it. The max volume is so low that even at 100% any audible source of noise will drown out the speakers. No TPM or UEFI support. The Bios is pure legacy with no TPM or Firmware TPM support. This may impact your upgrade path to Windows 11. The Bios is quite luck luster with an option to change the performance from adaptive, performance to battery saving. You can also allocate VRAM to the APU up to 2GB. However aside from that it's quite basic.

it lasted me about four years, today August 19 2021. i was playing a game and then it just died.

Description says it's a 15.6 inch laptop but it barely reaches 14 inches. There is even a sticker on the laptop saying it's 15 inches but that is not the case. The screen hurts my eyes I have to hook it up through hdmi onto my BenQ monitor for a more pleasant experience.

The specs on this computer are very good. You probably think this will be a great 15-in laptop option if you're like me, and you think it's a no-brainer purchase. And you would be right, except for the fact that the display is absolutely horrendous. It's not mentioned on this listing but it is a TN panel with horrible viewing angles and awful contrast. It is actually very annoying to use this computer. I'm returning it and instead bought something with an IPS panel. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this.

The laptop I received is marked as a Lenovo Ideapad 3, but the screen does not flip back as shown, and it does not have a touchscreen. Model number shown in the site description does not match the model number imprinted on the laptop. Really disappointed. The internal specs seem to match up, but so much doesn't match what is shown on the site that are big buying points. Be warned.
