This laptop is incredible. I replaced a 6 month old HP with this. I gave our college student son the HP. I had to purchase a new laptop due to my DJ software that I use having a new release and I had to have a new spec machine in order for the softrware to be stable and run properly. This laptop absolutely screams speed wise in comparison to my HP and the specs are not that far apart. There are only 2 issues that I have with this laptop. One is strictly a personal preference while the other could pose a challenge at some point. The first one is the USB input layout. There are 3 USB inputs on this laptop and they are all on the left side. My problem with this is the ability to have room for external devices that are plugged in. For example, I use 2 portable hard drives continuously. And then I also use a 4 port USB hub due to a wireless keyboard and mouse. The HDMI input is also right next to the 3 USB inputs. I use a 2nd monitor so this poses another logistical challenge because of all of the cabling that is then located all on one side of the laptop. Again, everything works great, it is just a bit of a problem due to all inputs being on one side of the computer. The other issue is the lack of an Ethernet connection. Your only connection that you have to a network or the internet is via Wifi. Despite those two issues, this laptop is an absolute beast of a computer. In fact, despite these two things, I will be purchasing a second one for my wife so she has a personal laptop and not have just her Dell work laptop. Oh and BTW, this thing wipes the floor of her Dell and it is less than 3 months old and is an Intel Core i7 quad core. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. This is my 2nd Lenovo IdeaPad laptop. First one was 8 years old when I finally replaced it with this one. The old one still worked but started getting slower - but can't say it was the laptop as I kept getting Microsoft updates. Don't know what Microsoft puts in these computer updates! My new laptop is fast and working like a charm. Expect this new one to last me just like the last one! Great laptop for the price!

For the price point, I searched high and low to find something with 8 GB memory, a SSD and a processor that ranked well on cpu benchmark test. A lot of the cheaper laptops have a celeron processor and 2-4 GB memory and are not worth buying, I had bought two of those last year and ended up selling them because my kids didn't use them. This is really fast, I love the feel of the keyboard, the keys feel natural and have good spacing and I get the number pad with this laptop. Cold boot and opening the laptop from sleep I get instant response. There are only 2 complaints I have with this, one is the lack of a USB C port when there are so many devices now that support it, I would have liked that addition, but the camera on this is really bad, on video calls, this is grainy and looks like you have gone back in time about 10 years, not impressed at all with the camera.

I bought an HP and, for once, was very disappointed. It ran slow, I had to restart it constantly. then I bought Lenovo from Walmart and I am so impressed!! It's sleek, it's FAST. I'm so glad I bought it. Turn it on, snap, it really is on. I put in my code, snap, I'm looking at the Desktop.

Although some sites say they have a issue with the construction of this unit, I feel it is perfect, some talk about flex and such. This lap top works very well and is very quick. I really like this unit. I have owned other name brands time will tell how well this unit will do. I am pleased and would buy again especially for the price and hardware associated with it.

We bought 2 of these leptops without realizing the webcam was only .3 megapixel. We do a lot on zoom so a good camera was a must. Most laptops at least come with .92 mp which is also like 720p. So we returned them. However, in the day that we had it, everything else was great! Easy set up. Fast browsing. Nice design, size and keyboard. Just wish it would have had a decent camera. It wasn't sharp at all, a little blurry.

Great laptop for everyday use very fast and responsive, priced fair for what you get , a budget laptop. Body is made of plastic the top is a soft plastic and bottom is a harder plastic with sharp edges. Only issue I had was with the WI-fi card of the laptop, I kept losing signal every time the laptop would wake up from sleep mode. Returned product for another mid tier lenovo laptop.

If you're looking for a work laptop, then just get a chromebook. It's painful to type on for a long time. If you're looking for a gaming laptop, save yourself the time and money and just buy or build an actual gaming PC. Or save up for an Alienware laptop. For reference, I play Genshin Impact on this (rarely) and it can run the game decently well only on the LOWEST settings. My phone runs more demanding games better than this laptop. For this price, you might as well save up more money for a great gaming PC.

Worst laptop ever, manufacturer says battery life is 7.5 hours but every one or 2 hours the battery died and I have to charge it, is not something you can use on the go with out power outlets, I'm using the laptop in my house and I only used it for an hour and a half and the battery died, the laptop also over heating real bad very hot underneath, I bought it and today is my second day using it, I'm returning it asap and it is not worth the price!!!!!!!!
