it was interesting to see Japan's point of view of WWII because thats never really never being done before.
A good companion to'Flags of Our Fathers'. It shows the average Japanese soldier who doesn't want to be in the battle.
I received when I asked for good price in good condition
I think that this was one of the greatest war films ever made and was also one of my favorite films of all-time. "Letters From Iwo Jima" provided a fascinating and interesting insight into one of the greatest battles of World War II. I really enjoyed all of the action, suspense, mystery and personal drama that kept this film very entertaining and enjoyable. I also think that this film had a really great cast, plot and storylines as well.
excellent movie. gives you a view into the otherside of the war,and how war is not right for anyone. great movie
Sad, but very good movie. I am surprised (But then again it is Clint Eastwood) this movie was made.
Another overlooked Eastwood war film,
Letters From Iwo Jima was a taunt story from the perspective of Japanese solders defending Iwo Jima against American Forces during World War II. Acting and cinematography were very good. The Japanese Navy had been destroyed. The Japanese had no hope for reinforcements or re-supply. There was little food and no water (other than rain water) on the island. Why did America attack the island when disease, death by hunger, and lack of water would have defeated the Japanese? The attack cost thousands of American Marines their lives. Watch the movie. See if you can figure it out.
