I needed an inch lbs torque wrench for some valve covers I was installing and this tekton is well made and had a great feel. It was the right tool for the job and glad I added it to my tool arsenal for future projects a lot of other torque wrenches didn't have the desired working range needed often over 40 or more inlbs as the starting amount this one is 20 starting
Enjoyed the prompt delivery and love the product!
Really do like this torque wrench. I'm a diesel mechanic and have a couple of Snap On torque wrenches that are pretty old. Got the inch pound one here to work on my Harleys. Wrench feels very heavy duty and not cheap made. Can see the numbers very easily on the handle as they are in yellow. So far so good and liked it so much I purchased the 1/2" drive one as well.
packed well and lile the product package .
My initial impression is that this torque wrench is well made. However, without checking it with a calibration meter and putting it to use for at least a year, I can't speak to its accuracy or durability.
So far so good. I tested this out with first use. After reading some complaints, with these things its probably best with first use to go to full torque settings in graduated steps at least to get a feel for the tool itself, rather than risk snapping something off
This 1/2" Torque wrench is excellent for home car use. The handle is long enough for applying good leverage at 217 lb-ft on a Axle Nut. The handle body will scratch easy as it's painted. I cross checked with another toque wrench I have and they are consistent in accuracy. Good quality!
To speed up production and lower cost the directional control lever was a stamp process part for the looks of it. Found out the lever can easily move further to the right of its index stopping work point (part design or excessive play tolerances). Resulting in a locked rotation that did not allow the torque wrench to work properly. No tripping: clicking sound or movement of what normally is to occur. Why does a one way use single function (non-bi-directional) tool for setting the pre-load torque only for a clockwise rotation even have a lever switch to begin with. Most likely, any negative reviews are generated by this single part. Rest of the tool is excellent build quality.
ordered 1/2 inch drive- ( lx-183} Walmart shipped 3/8 inch drive unit (lx 182} and shipping delayed 1 day...
Lexivon 3/8-Inch Drive Click Torque Wrench was junk. Item fails to "click" at torque setting. Center button fails to release socket
