We chose this MW because it met more of our requirements: Invertor technology, Smaller overall size, Wattage of =>1000, One-touch 30-second button, Appearance, Sideways plug. We gave allowance for lack of sound control, or the One-touch 1-6 minute option. It has Elegant design. Materials look of good quality. Just the right (smaller) size for us; doesnât take up much counter space or dominate space between the counter/cupboard. Photo denotes size relative to dinner plate, medium Pyrex bowl, tall coffee mug. Only a bit larger than our toaster/oven. Able to angle it in corner for easier accessibility/more space in front to set the dish. It serves our simple needs for reheating. Not quite as powerful (1000W) as previous full size MW; but the new, invertor/even-cook technology makes up for that! Less height for âstirring roomâ but not a dealbreaker. The darker color interior
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I haven't had an issue with it. The only thing I do not like, nor does my wife, is that you cannot control the seconds. From 0-3 minutes, the increments are 10 seconds, then it increases to 30 second intervals, etc... There are many times we microwave stuff at 12 seconds, 18 seconds, etc. I really don't understand the logic behind it and it is not a very good one at that.
I like this microwave it heats things evenly and fast. It is easy to clean and is the perfect size for for for two people. I only have two cons for this microwave first is the sound it makes after it is finished cooking it is annoying and the second one is that the microwave slides when I open the door. They need to make make it more stable, I had to purchase a anti -slip heat resistant mat for microwave to keep it sturdy.
It is okay but there are several things that I'm not crazy about: The large expanse of black glass and the bands of stainless- though attractive- get very dirty very quickly and need constant cleaning. It says in the manual that when not in use a glass of water needs to be left in it in case it is accidently turned on. Turns out, because of the way it opens and the placement of the 'start button,it is very easy to accidentally turn it on. The glass turntable is set above the microwave floor as opposed to (like the Panasonic microwaves) being set flush with the floor. This means that it is very easy to bump the edge of the turntable when loading it which can cause spills. It plays a 'song' when finished instead of a simple 'beep' which it repeats if not opened immediately. Can be very annoying. The settings seem complicated and are a bit fiddly to use. Had I not been restricted to size I would have bought the Panasonic and been much happier...
New way to set cook times. Seems OK. So far, we like it. Good interior light. Quiet. Stable turntable. Roomy inside. **>> KEY PAD NOT ILLUMINATED. THIS FEATURE IS TOO HARD TO FIND. <<** Door requires a sharp tug to open. Microwave dances forward. Needs two hands to open safely.
The LG Microwave is a good product but it did not fit in the space allocated in our kitchen. I tried to return the item but I could only return the item through the distributor OJCommerce, despite the fact that Walmart carries this item in their stores. OJCommerces' return policy requires the buyer to pay for return shipping, which is $80, half the value of the microwave. OJCommerce claims this requirement is disclosed in their return policy but it is in the fine print and not stated up front in the order screen.
This is an awesome microwave. Not only is it sleek and beautiful but it works like a charm. Don't buy it here though it's 60.00 cheaper everywhere else. I emailed the seller with no response on a price match. I love that it doesn't beep but has a tune to signify time's up. Everything cooks evenly and the tray inside does not budge. This has 6 stability points on it. If it wasn't such a pain I would return it and buy it anywhere else.
It's been less than three years since we purchased this microwave. Six months ago, one of the areas in the LCD display started to fail, occasionally making reading the time entered or remaining difficult to ascertain. Since then, five more have failed for a total of six. Figuring out how much time is left is a guess at best.
I bought this microwave about 3 weeks ago. It was easy to set up and easy to use. It does play annoying music when it's finished rather than beeping, but that's just personal preference. I do find it takes longer than I'd expect to heat up certain food items but otherwise no issues so far.
Only lasted 18 months . Magnetron popped, sparked and could have caused a fire.
