I use this to help control my breakouts, per my doctor's recommendation. I was having a horrible breakout after breakout for months and after resuming taking this consistently (2-3 months), my skin cleared. (I also got facials but this significantly helped) It's also been helping with my bowel movements (which also probably therefore helped my skin) because I'm sometimes constipated/do not go daily. This is a wonderful product. I had read an article from Health Sciences Institute on Lactoferrin's remarkable ability to effectively reduce metastasis while leaving healthy cells unharmed. Knowing it also strengthens the immune system and bones, I ordered some for my cat who had a a rather large cyst on top of his head. Given that the recommended dosage for treating this kind of thing in adult persons was 800mg to 1200mg per day, I adjusted the dosage for my 20 lb. Cat and gave him 200mg per day for 3 months. The growth not only quit growing, but actually shrank in size until It's hardly discernable. Not only does he look better, but he feels like his old self again. This product saved his life as I refused to put him on chemo. Thank you Life Extension for making this great supplement available. Since I am prone to having polyps myself, I decided to put myself on a therapeutic dosage of 900mg per day for 3months to be on the safe side. I believe that it protects compromised immune systems and gut walls too. It was recommended by my Acupuncturist for me. It does contain milk so sometimes I think it makes me gassy if I've taken 2 caps. Not sure how others respond to it. My acupuncturist recommends many of Life Extension products and I trust his recommendations!
