LIFEPROOF 1501-01 CASE FOR IPOD Touch 5TH Generation

Fits so much better and easier than the other brands of cases that are available in our local store. This completely surrounds our devices and is holding up well to the fact that my kids have dropped them.

I purchased this case for my iPod touch generation 6 since it fits both generation 5 and 6. I like that it had two screen protectors just in case I needed it. I had a bit of trouble understanding the instructions, but the pictures were more helpful. When I followed the pictures, I was able to apply the case and the cover. The way they suggest applying the protective cover eliminated all bubbles under the protective cover, which was really nice since I have always had trouble with that. The seal put over the cover sealed the iPod in completely and I fully trust it would withstand almost anything (up to 6.6 ft. of water and a 6.6 ft. drop as the box states). At first i was confused with the headphone jack since I assumed I could just plug in my own headphones. Come to find out, you cannot plug in your own headphones into your electronic device without their headphone jack since the case is too wide to allow it. The case also has rubberized tabs that completely seal in where you'd plug in your headphones and charger. In my opinion, this is the best case I could have purchased to protect my iPod in the best possible way.

You almost need three hands to insert the charging cable.

The case has been awesome so far, easy to put on, seems sturdy, hasn't been bothered by a few minor falls. Be warned, it can make the power and volume buttons a bit hard to push.

I bought the item hoping it would allow me to take underwater pictures with my ipod but the second time I used the ipod underwater it got water in it. The ipod malfunctioned for a a couple weeks due to the water. It was hard to get the case off so that I could allow the ipod to dry. It's a protect case but it is NOT waterproof.

The buttons are all way too stiff, the power button is so stiff it keeps it down all the time so you can't use it and it constantly to tries to turn the device off. And the front part is held together with tape. Really? Tape. No rubber seal or nothing, just taped on screen. Lifeproof used to be the best of the best, but now I see how they went out of business and ended up being purchased by otter box. What a shame.

I didn't think to check the reviews before I purchased this because it's from Lifeproof. Lifeproof makes the best phone and iPad cases, but the worst ones ever for the iPod. It doesn't have a top piece, just a sticker. There are two so I guess you can change it once and then it's done. Hope you never have to take it out. And the power button doesn't work AT ALL when it's in the case. I returned it and bought an Otterbox. Hopefully it will be better.

On off buttons doesn't work well with case and once you put iPod in case can't take it out without pealing off plastic cover which makes it unusable
