As for the graphics: they are simply amazing. The only thing I got kinda depressed about is that in double or triple battles, you can't use the 3D. But I understand why, the framerate would drop so low it would be unplayable. The Mega Evolution is nice, but not 100% needed to progress through the game. There is even a Super Training mode, on the bottom screen, which means you can EV train without having to hunt down certain pokemon. All-in-all, there is much more to say, but I just boiled it down to my most favorite features. If you want better descriptions of anything, go to: www.serebii.net.
I haven't played any games since the oldest Red version for Nintendo GameBoy. I was wary to buy a 3DS XL and this game, despite my love for Pokemon. I was expecting really weird changes to a truly original game. I was surprised at how much I love this game. I have already spent hours on it, loving every minute of it. Definitely worth it!
I didn't get into this game until I heard about Sun and Moon coming out. But when I finally got it and started playing, I was hooked! It does sometimes feel like you are handed EVERYTHING as the game progresses. Compared to earlier games, the challenge of acquiring key items is practically gone. In its place is a massive slew of Pokémon, new and old, that are everywhere. The Pokedex is so massive that I've already filled one PC box and have barely made a dent in the first region's Dex. That's another thing that piles on to diversity: multiple regions in the Pokedex. Instead of having to wait to complete the main game to unlock an "International Dex", you simply progress and enter new sub regions where the Pokémon are different than the previous. Though I feel the new Team Flare has much to be desired, the game has a good plot to it and goes nearly as deep as Black and White 2. The graphics are closer to the GameCube's Pokémon Colloseum than the standard flat world or implied 3d of the old or previous games. It's an entirely new look at the world of Pokémon! Overall, this game is an excellent addition to the franchise. My only regret is not having played it sooner.
My daughter is very picky when it comes to DS games; in fact, I have spent a lot of money on games that she will not play. After doing some research on line, I decided to buy this game. My daughter was upset because she wanted a game that was made for game-boy, However, when she opened the game, and started playing it, she loved it. It has many features that other DS games don't have. You can trade Pokemon that you don't want for a different want, that another gamer, from another part of the world has. You can chat with other gamers while playing, and interact with your Pokemon the same way that you do with your nitendogs. It is very addicting; so you have to put some limitations on your kids play time.
Great game! Awesome graphics and 3D. Best pokemon game thus far. It feels more like an rpg than ever before. The new 3 dimmensional world is awesome.
Game was a gift for my almost 21 year old child (a die hard Pokemon Geek). Loves the game and appreciated the surprise/gift.
So far this game is great! I'm loving it. I was a Pokemon fan from the beginning, but had to take a break from the games, so I'm rediscovering it all over again. The graphics are great and gameplay is very straightforward for someone who knows how Pokemon games work. I'm not very far, but so far it hasn't been very frustrating or especially difficult. I haven't had to purposefully train my Pokemon before any of the gyms.
It was what I wanted and expected.. Super fun game
Shipping and Delivery on Pokemon Y was really quick. My 11 year old son loves playing this game.
My son loved this game. Great challenge for anyone who is into pokemon . would recommend
