EASY
The unit operated perfectly, and was very easy to program. I'm not sure why the old one quit working, but I know now that I'll have to plan on this failing in another couple of years.

Wireless Keyless entry
Don't hesitate to order/install yourself. My garage company wanted twice what I paid. Installed in 10 minutes, pushed one button, entered code and done, make sure compatible before you order.

Install instructions contain an error
Too soon to give this four stars as I just installed and don't know how long it will last. I like the keypad's Enter button. My previous keypad lacked one. BE ADVISED: If you use Method B to program your keypad, step #6 is WRONG. It says to “press and release the Enter button until the [lift's] lights flash…” instead, you must press and HOLD the Enter button.

Replacement was simple and straight forward. It would have been better if instructions to set a temporary pin were printed on the sticker inside the flap - however it's in the manual

Remote is NOT GENUINE LiftMaster remote
This is a NOT GENUINE (counterfeit) ListMaster 878Max remote. It is essentially a generic opener with a LiftMaster embossed cover and what appears to be a LiftMaster box. The remote is programmable as any generic remote to open and close doors but it lacks OEM (Genuine LiftMaster) device capability. There are other "tells", but don't want to help these people design a better appearing fake. You get what you pay for.

You need a professional for everything
the new products look great but they don't connect to the opener - the learn button is not so receptive and the website and other trouble shooting opportunities very limited once that happens - almost as if Liftmaster wants you to go to a professional for even the simplest things as adding a remote control

I was sent a previously used item, clearly labeled as returned and re-stocked, with parts missing, instead of the new product I ordered.
