My initial order was cancelled after not shipping out for a few days. (I believe this is sold through a reseller and not direct from Walmart). But, I took a chance and re-ordered a few days later. I received the product and everything worked as expected.
The 878 MAX has it all: It was easily programmed with my four digit code in 10 seconds, it took only about 10 minutes to mount it, the buttons illuminate robustly thanks to the 9 volt battery, and the flipup cover stays open thanks to the spring hinge. In short, it works.
Great price, brand name product, quick del'y.
Great product. Replacing an old one. It was a bit of trouble to get it synced to my opener but that's my fault. I just wish it was free shipping like Amazon, as it's extremely good value!
I tried a Genie universal keypad, but it didn't work with my Liftmaster MyQ garage door even like it claimed. This Liftmaster was less than the universal %26 connected in 3 easy steps. Love it
I ordered this LiftMaster 878MAX universal remote online, which arrived fast and on time. Programming was okay and not that hard, but I could not get the one function—closing the garage door by pushing the INTER button—to work!
Generic replacement was received. It works for what I needed, but is not what was expected.
I ordered this item, a Liftmaster keypad; however, I was sent a generic Universal keypad. This is not a legitimate Liftmaster keypad based on what I received. I will be returning to Walmart.
I bought this thinking it was a genuine LiftMaster, but it isn't. It has the embossed branding and looks convincing. The give-away is that the One Touch Close feature doesn't work at all and the backlight is a different color from the genuine $50 unit I have now ordered from a LiftMaster direct distributor. The backlight of an authentic unit is amber, the fakes are red. We tried multiple times to reprogram it. No luck. I have read threads in various chat rooms about the same experience.
This is a knock off Liftmaster 878 max. It is not the genuine Liftmaster 878 max. I ordered it and tried to install it but it did not work. It is not the same as the Liftmaster 878 max sold by Liftmaster online. I am returning it to Walmart but am out the $6.99 shipping fee. Buyer beware. There is a reason it is less expensive. Walmart should not be selling it online since it is deceptive advertising.
