I had a friend assemble the TV Stand. It took him about 25 minutes. It is quality wood construction and it is beautiful. Fits perfectly with my new 40 inch TV. I would recommend this product without hesitation!!
Real wood! Looks and feels nicer than what I expected.
Good quality
Beautiful solid wood.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of this is very good, it looks very durable , it is also very easy to assemble, the colour is very likeable, it does not take up a lot of space, the two small drawers are just right for storing some things . I think this is great, very nice!
I really like this table. It is sturdy and the finish is good. Overall quality is good for the price point. Be prepared on the assembly. It requires about 60 screws, some are into wood without pilot holes. A little liquid soap on the screw threads makes those easier to seat. A power screwdriver is helpful. There was some dust on the pieces our of the box, but a quick wipe down with furniture polish after assembly and all was well. It blends well with the Turner oak finish end and coffee tables sold here as well.
I was really shocked at the quality of this item for the price. It's made of real rood (except for the backing and the drawer bottoms). It comes with dozens of screws that keep this thing tightly assembled. This isn't high-end furniture but it's head and shoulders above what you would typically buy at this price point. And for my family -- who doesn't spend money on expensive furniture -- anything that's better quality than pressboard might just become a heirloom! One caution: The dowels/pegs that come with the stand are supposed to be hammered in. But in reality they only fit into the holes finger-tight. I recommend gluing them in. But other than that all of the screw holes seem to be drilled right; I didn't encounter any mismatches. You won't spend this kind of money for a better TV stand!
This is a good looking solid wood piece, no particle board, nicely finished, and precisely machined for assembly with dowels and screws. But assembly is made difficult because most of the 60+ holes to receive screws were NOT pre-drilled. Instructions say you just need a screwdriver--NO WAY! For most of the pieces to be joined, the first piece, where the head of the screw sits, is drilled to set the position of the screw, but the second piece receiving the screw is not. The wood is HARD, and the screws will NOT drill themselves in. So you need to pre-assemble the pieces (easy due to the dowels), mark the hole, then take the pieces apart and drill holes, and re-assemble. Also, many of the screw locations are tucked up into corners, where most drills won't fit. Lucky I had an electric screwdriver which is much narrower to fit in the corners. It took 3 hours to assemble, but results were great. So is the price. Amazon was selling same for over $300! But YOU NEED A DRILL, both for the holes, and to drive screws, and many drills won't fit in the tight corners, so you'll be driving screws on an angle with your fingertips unless you have an electric screwdriver or a flexible extension for your drill.
TV stand looks great -- instructions for putting it together were a bit confusing in some spots, but doable.
I'm a pro at putting together furniture, but this piece was very difficult to assemble - no pre-drilled holes, and the wood wouldn't catch the screws well. I had to have my contractor put it together with his own hardware. The finished product is nice, but it's also a little darker than I anticipated. It's more of an espresso color
