This 4in brush is going to be very handy in my future project. I'm self building a log home and the fact that is large is an advantage for my work. Feels sturdy, the handle is plastic, the hairs are fine, about 4 inches long, poliester made of, soft and silky, just right for staining my logs. Per Instructions is advised for stains, varnishes and waterproofing. I like the plastic cover that comes with because I can have the brush stored in it.

This brush is the perfect size for some of the staining and painting my husband and I still need to do to get our house ready to be sold. The bristles are very soft, so they should carry paint or varnish and smoothly deposit it over wood or whatever surface you need to cover. The width is 2 inches, which is just right for covering trim or working in smaller areas. And the handle feels strong and smooth and ergonomically comfortable to hold. You get all this for a very fair price. I know this brush will help us finish our pre-sale projects easily, and I am looking forward to using it.

I have used different brands that aren't top-quality brushes, but this brush is a little better quality. A few bristles came out when I opened the package; the photo shows a few scraggly bristles. But now that it's shed those loose bristles, it doesn't seem like there are any more. I like the look and feel of this brush; it's easy to handle and enjoyable to use. For water-based paint or crafts, this would wash up for multiple uses. It also works well for a small sweeper.

I have sanded and stained many many pieces of furniture and I have to say that this brush's bristles are so silky and smooth that when I used it I didn't find a ton of streaks. The wooden handle fits comfortably in my hand. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who does a lot of DIY staining.
