Best price. As soon as it was known people were buying them to make inexpensive curtains for their porches the price sky rocketed.. at least that's my take on why these are 4 X more than I remember them being. This is the best price I have found and they work great.
I used this when I painted the garage walls. Also, when needed for covering areas that I not want to get damaged by paint. It has lasted me a while but keep in mind I use it at home and does not get used a lot. Definitely very useful to have it around.
I used this as sewing fabric on the back of a set of covers i made for my sofa cushions. I saved money that way because the upholstery fabric cost more per yard than this entire drop cloth. It is soft and flexible and a pretty color. I can say how well it would work as a drop cloth for absorbing paint, but it works great as affordable fabric. I intend to repurchase for other projects and have recommended it to friends and family.
I use it to protect things that have to be outside. I feel that it lasts way longer than some tarps made of plastic. I will put plastic tarps under it and then this over it. The combination is able to withstand even the hurricane that happened recently in Florida. I put a few rocks at the bases and that keeps the wind from blowing it away. It’s a temporary solution until I can rebuild a shed.
@jens.houseof6 I have been using these drop cloths for a few years for many projects. I love the texture, durability, but most of all the price point!! It can't be beat for the quality! There is sooo much you can do with drop cloths! I personally have used them for curtains, drapes, shower curtains, made pillows, recovered furniture, bedskirts
I was so excited to get this drop cloth in. To say that I am a messy painter is a huge understatement. I get it all over my skin, my clothes and the floor (sometimes I splatter on a joining walls). But I love to paint. I find it cathartic. I keep a bunch of old towels in the closet and usually line them up all over the floor to cover the space around me. This drop cloth is huge. It’s 9 feet by 6 feet and really thick so I can spread it over a huge area and not have to constantly move it to where I am painting. Today I repainted my front porch doors yellow. I got it all over me, but the deck doesn’t have a spec of paint on it because the cloth covered the whole deck. My favorite part is that it is washable so I can keep it for all my future projects and throw away my old towels. I can think of so many others way I can use this for other projects like sanding furniture. It would contain all the dust on one surface. Than just shake it outside and throw it in the washer. No more vacuuming the floors after.
I am moving tons of small rocks around my yard, so instead of lifting them up into the wheel barrow, I toss them onto the tarp, and drag them. Much less effort and time. I was surprised how heavy duty it is.
Big, strong, but EXTREMELY linty … hope the lint doesn’t clog my washer drain… the dryer requires multiple lint removal just for one drop cloth !! But … I have several and would buy them again… once you get over the initial lint, they’re great !!
And I’m sure that’s what it is. Because I suffer issues with mycotoxins… it’s Mold. If you’re in the same boat as I am, you do not want to take a chance with this. I don’t know where this came from, or where it was stored, but wherever this product picked it up, that place needs ozoned. Should never have been sold. Not okay.
This was not what I was expecting. These came in different colors but on the picture is advertised as one.
