Clever!
I'm such a huge Harry Potter fan and the train set was perfect under the tree. It's clever how the controller and train have to both be on in order to operate. This helped limit battery drainage while giving an alert as a reminder to turn one or the other on. The voice of the characters speaking lines from the first book are a nice added touch. Love love love this train set.

Beautiful train! They need better shipping though
Loved the train! FedEx had a heck of a time with the box though lol, I lucked out this wasn't a gift or I would've gad to return it for another

Could have been built more sturdy but its understandable for the price because the ultra sturdy ones are obviously ultra expensive.

Best train
It was everything my daughter wanted it to be. It completed her Harry Potter Christmas tree. I recommend this to anyone that is looking for a train.

Good for kids
upon opening, its definitely a very basic, all plastic train. I'm used to the actual model trains so I'm not used to plastic quality. To me, the product feels kind of cheap, uses 9 batteries overall. about what it takes to run a department store train that's about 40.00. the remote though is what sets it apart. never seen a battery operated train with one, so that's pretty cool. the sound effects are cool , if you're into and know Harry Potter movies. it is responsive for being what it is, the kiddo enjoys it, and I feel a lot better about her tinkering with this, rather then the more pricier trains we have. For a child or someone that wants a train on a budget, it definitely has all you need to get the job done. The product has been provided by Lionel, free of charge so I could experience it. However, the thoughts and opinions are my own
