I had recently learned of the importance of using mediums in my daily art process. I'm using them to extend, and help blend paints; but most importantly as an isolation layer as I'm working. It will protect the paint underneath, freeing me up to create my next layer, experimenting; going over some parts… and if it doesn't look good, the paint will wipe off where I've applied the medium! Also using as a "sealer " coat or two before either acrylic varnish or wax medium.
