Little Seeds Monarch Hill Poppy Desk, White

This is a well put together sturdy desk it will take you a at least an hour to put it together. The instructions are detailed and it comes with everything you will need to complete the assembly. It is mdf material and it's strong and solid. The desk comes with two sets of knobs which I thought was cool one more feminine the other a bit more masculine. The only thing I wish this desk had more of was character it's very plain. Other than that it's a good desk that should last a good while.

I got this desk for my five year old to do her homework on. She loves it. The colors could be brighter. Also it took about 4-5 hrs to assemble. Which i thought seemed excessive. Other then that it's very sturdy. And really a good piece of furniture.

THIS IS WELL WORTH THE TIME IT TAKES TO PUT IT ALL TOGETHER. YOU ARE FOREWARNED THAT IT IS GOING TO TAKE SOME TIME AND PROBABLY TWO ADULTS TO GET IT ALL TOGETHER AND IT DOES!!!! IF YOU JUST LAY OUT ALL THE PIECES AHEAD OF TIME AND FOLLOW THE RULES WHICH BY THE WAY ARE VERY SELF EXPLANATORY.....YOU JUST HAVE TO TAKE THE TIME TO FINISH THE PROJECT. IT TURNS INTO THE CUTEST DESK FOR A CHILD'S ROOM AND BY THE WAY IT IS A LOT STURDIER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. THE DIRECTIONS EVEN GIVE YOU THE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT OF WEIGHT FOR THE TOP OF THE DESK AS WELL AS THE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT SUGGESTED FOR EACH OF THE DRAWERS. PEOPLE HAVE A TENDENCY TO OVERLOAD AND IF YOU DO THE DIRECTIONS STATE THAT IT WILL BOW......SO I GUESS IF YOU FOLLOW THE SUGGESTIONS THIS DESK SHOULD LAST FOR A LONG TIME. WE WERE MISSING THE BOTTOM OF ONE OF THE DRAWERS AND I EMAILED THE COMPANY. THEY RESPONDED RIGHT AWAY AND THEY ARE SENDING THE PART..... SO NO PROBLEMS HERE.

Little Seeds Monarch Hill Poppy Desk arrived in a large, well-packaged, heavy box. The actual desk box was packaged inside of an outer box providing good protection against shipping damage. Once I opened the desk box, I sorted all thirty-nine boards and eighty-four parts. At first, I felt a bit overwhelmed by the job ahead of me and was thinking this may be a desk to pay a bit extra to include assembly. As I began to start, I realized it was a very similar build to many desks, beds and shelving units I have ordered and built previously just with more boards and parts. I was happy to see that the parts all required a regular screwdriver versus the L key. I would have prefered to have a different style locking system for the screws instead of the cam locks and cam bolts. I think it may just be me but I sure struggle to get those cam locks locked correctly. Keep in mind that this does come with wood glue so be ready to build away from your carpet or rug. I started to gain confidence in building the desk and made two mistakes. First, I put a board on upside down and didn't realize until another piece would not lay flat against it. It was only a few easy steps back to fix. Then, once I had the main frame of the desk built, I realized I had put a piece facing the wrong way. I could have taken most of the desk frame apart and fixed it but I didn't. You probably can tell in the photo. However, since the photo, I just easily painted the brown board that was showing white and it's like a mistake was never even made. The drawers are time consuming to put together but well worth it. They came with quality tracks. The drawers open and shut smoothly. The company kindly adds two styles of handles to choose from for the drawers. My daughter loved the diamond styled ones over the more plain modern style I preferred. Once all was together and standing, right away I was loving the white and grey. My daughter's room has purple walls with white trim with a large grey, dollhouse style bookshelf in it. This desk in the white with the grey gradient drawers really ties the colors of the room together. The overall quality of the finished desk is good. I was worried that the plastic feet that go on one side of the desk would not look right with the wood ones on the other side but honestly once the desk is standing you can't even tell there is a difference. The top of the desk is a good size for large items. Easily, a laptop, lamp and leftover writing space is possible. For my daughter, books, crafts, a lamp and her record player all fit. The drawers keep all the extras, like paper, pens and so on tidy and put away neatly. This is a desk size that she will have to grow into a bit. I'm thinking it's tall enough for ages eight to eighteen. Either way she will grow into it. Overall, the desk is such a cute addition to her room and she is ecstatic to have it.

I ordered this desk because it would fit in the space I had in my room I expect a kind of KID desk but, when I received the 80 lb desk I know this was much better than the almost cardboard type children desks that are available. The LITTLE SEEDS MONARCH HILL POPPY DESK is more of a piece of furniture then just a child desk This desk will be very functional in a teens room or any room That a desk would be useful Ok now down to the nitty-gritty of the LITTLE SEEDS DESK arriving unassembled. Upon opening I was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of pieces. The best thing to do is ORGANIZE! As I lay the pieces out in different piles I wondered how much work lay ahead The desk is not solid wood but very sturdy There is one top drawer and Cupboard type doors on the side. The doors are offered in pink colors and gray colors. Was going to get pink but decided on gray. Glad I did, the gray tends to blend with the colors in the room There is a bright green wall that reflects in the photo but, the top of the desk is actually white. After sorting we were ready to assemble We took our time ,followed the instructions that were surprising accurate and EASY to follow. It did take several hours to assemble The desk is VERY NICE!

Cute desk but out of the box some of the paint was scratched off. Drawers are NOT the full depth of the desk; could definitely get another 3-4 inches of space- very frustrating. Instructions were decent and had pieces and hardware labeled. Disappointed to see 4 of the legs were plastic. One of the drawers looks so crooked but there are pilot holes for every screw and Cam lock, that its definitely not my error. I was able to assemble it alone; took about 5 hours but it can be assembled by one person.

I will update once I finish putting it together. Currently I am stuck on step 18 because the BB slab piece has holes in the wrong spots and doesn't align with piece L. I assume piece BB is the back of this drawer and if so, two holes will be showing there. (The holes are on the wrong side of the groove that accommodates piece X.) Not sure if I should drill my own holes since I don't drill often. I'd hate to compromise the piece. It was otherwise coming together nicely.

I have put together my fair share of cheap furniture, but this one takes the cake for biggest hunk of junk. Particle board falling apart in my hands. Laminate wrinkled up on the trim pieces. Nothing pre-drilled in alignment, so none of the drawers glide and corner trim just falls off. I put it together hoping it would at least work as a stand in until something better can be arranged, but I am worried its going to collapse on my kid. What a huge waste of time and money.

This item has 100s of pieces to be assembled and they don't have Assembly Manual in the package. How stupid and poor way of managing things. We just unpacked and scattered everything on the floor on a weekend and have to wait for staff to be available on Monday to response to our Assembly Manual request.. real frustrating and stupid way of dealing with such extra ordinary smart sellers.

This is the cheapest desk I have ever seen. The material is very bad quality. There is ugly space left all around the 3 drawers. Also, the drawers are smaller than what they appear in the picture. There is unnecessary space left behind the drawers. You loose a storage space. You can see in the picture I provided. The picture shows the space when the drawer is closed all the way. Avoid spending your money on this desk. Also, the desk gets dirty just by touching it. We had it for a week but it already looks very much used. I would add more pictures if the system would allow me to.
