Lodge Max Temp Oven Mitt, MITTMT

I'm very with this oven mitt, it is very well made and looks like it could withstand a lot of wear and tear. It says on the tag that it is a commercial oven mitt, and is made of a fire resistant material, with a kevlar seam. Overall a very good mitt, my only exception being that it isn't very pretty to look at. But that really isn't what it's meant to be.

I bought two of these to make handling of baking pans and bread molds easier to manage. The extra length is perfect for those long reaches into the oven during baking. I discarded my old mitt due to it's small size. The dark color and surface texture of the materials used resists staining, unlike the "pretty mitts."

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Long length is greart for reaching to the back of the overn and working on out door grill.'

This Mitt gives you all the protection you could ever need. Hope to purchase my second one for my other hand. Very Happy with this product.

Works great, no more burned hands & fingers or lower arms. No more pizza dumped in the floor because a cheap, worn out potholder failed. These are well made and should last for a really long time. I should have invested in these a long time ago; would be a good gift for newlyweds.

No, these are not 'decorative.' (Neither are feet, but they get you where you want to go, so, if 'ugly' offends you, just store these mitts out of sight!) That said, these are the BEST oven mitts I've ever owned. Compared to 'pretty' mitts, they come 3/4 up my forearm & hot juices do not penetrate the material, allowing me to hold on to my pot even when the mitts get wet. Like other reviewers, I too was disconcerted with how stiff & awkward these are at first, but a wash will quickly soften them. I have very slender hands but once the mitts softened, the over-size has not been a problem. Also, they seem very durable & well made, so I expect they should last a long time. I have hung my 'pretties' above the stove but I USE these!

I kept these oven mitts because they're great for handling anything that involves an oven or barbeque grill. However, they're made to fit larger handed individuals. I wear a medium size glove for outdoors and had to really push my hand firmly into the mitt in order to safely remove items from a heat source. So, if you're small handed, the mitt will not fit. The material is a bit stiff, but functional. I plan to machine wash in regular detergent on regular cycle when necessary.

If your into glamour in the kitchen this is not for you! Glove is on the big side. The length is halfway up the arm. Perfect for my concerns. Price is good. Fits my husband too.

These are very nice and thick. They also come far down your forearm so you will not accidentally get burned. I am very happy with the quality for the price.

The oven mits will do the job, but are made of rough material and do not have a pleasant appearance. Would not recomend for a woman.
