Logitech G915 Keyboard Review – Flawless Perfection The Logitech G915 is, without question, one of the greatest keyboards ever made. From the moment you unbox it, you can tell it's something special. It looks fantastic, feels premium, and performs flawlessly. Everything about this keyboard—from its sleek, ultra-thin design to its responsive low-profile mechanical switches—feels like it was crafted with absolute attention to detail. There's not a single thing to complain about. Seriously—no cons at all. Let's start with how it types. The typing experience is buttery smooth, incredibly comfortable, and precise. Whether you go with the GL Tactile, Linear, or Clicky switches, you're guaranteed a responsive and satisfying feel. The low-profile design doesn't take away from the performance—in fact, it enhances it. Typing feels fast, accurate, and effortless. This is a keyboard you can use for hours without any fatigue. It's just that comfortable. The wireless functionality is another area where the G915 shines. Logitech's LIGHTSPEED technology delivers flawless wireless performance. There's zero input lag. It's lightning-fast and feels exactly like a wired connection. You can also switch to Bluetooth for even more flexibility. Switching between devices is seamless, making this keyboard perfect for both work and gaming setups. Battery life? Incredible. With RGB lighting at full brightness, you still get more than 30 hours of use. Dial the lights down or turn them off, and the battery lasts even longer. Charging is quick and efficient. You never feel like you're waiting. And you get plenty of notice when the battery starts to run low. Let's talk about the looks. This thing is gorgeous. It's slim, futuristic, and professional all at once. The brushed aluminum top plate adds to its premium feel. The RGB lighting is rich, vibrant, and completely customizable with Logitech G HUB. It's not just pretty—it's brilliant. And then there are the extras. The dedicated media controls are perfect. The volume roller is smooth and responsive. The G keys on the side are fully programmable and great for macros or shortcuts. Every button feels solid, intentional, and well-placed. In every possible way, the Logitech G915 is a masterpiece. It looks great. It feels great. It works great. It is great. Final Score: 10/10
I've used this product before. This was a purchase to have incase current one ever needs to be replaced.
Beautiful keyboard! very happy with it i only have a few complaints about its design. that said i have some cons... Positivity is at the end of this review. 1. no secondary character back lighting for these keys "~!@%23$%^%26*()_ |}{:"?><78963.210" which makes it difficult to type... certain things... i use symbols a lot and not having backlight is reeking havic on my symbol use and punctuation. BIGGEST BUMMER about this board considering its price tag. 2. Memory keys "M1 M2 M3 MR, Lightning wifi, bluetooth, game switch, keys... battery life, and caps indicators" all non customizable for color. which isnt that big of a deal... what does bum me out is that there is no number locks indicator... a which for me is a bigger bummer. 3. the board does not sense your hand hovering or moving in... i just came off the K800 board which i've used for several years... and that board would sense your hand coming in... it was awesome i loved that feature... 4. the obvious flaw about this board is it has no built on palm rest which is a big bummer for me because i grab and move my board a lot and type in my lap 99% of the time. so ill have to customize something for it in that regard... also moving this board in the dark is difficult... not as bad as something like the K4 where all the keys are smashed together but still i keep mashing other buttons also turning on bluetooth... which disconnects my board and kicks off my custom backlighting until the board reconnnects... 6. speaking of that... blue tooth only has default customization. you can not customize the pattern which is a big bummer for me as well... 7. i wish the volume scroller could be customized for other things... also i wish it had a notch feature like the mouse wheels... apparently however this volume wheel use to have some serious delay when scrolling it... i am happy to say thats been patched... it scrolls in real time for me. 8. this is kind of a sales con on walmart... i purchased this board not knowing it was the slightly older version... which isnt a totally huge deal however i have the old mini usb charging cable and not the new c-usb cable... so it doesnt match my new mouse... which is also not that big of a deal because i charge my xbox 1 controller and head set with the older usb mini... so i have that cable here anyway. 9. im not sure about durability. i have dropped it once... and when i dropped it, it shut off and took a little bit to come back on i was scared i broke it but it came on and works perfectly still. this kinda goes along with the difficult to grab and move con... i would write more pros but really the whole board over comes these cons and i foresee myself using this board for years to come. ABOLSUTELY LOVE THE LIGHTING CUSTOMIZATION!
Great price for this 1st Gen keyboard.
Almost everything about this keyboard I love. The typing or gaming is very good but the main issue I had was the Logitech software keeps quitting on its own and forces my keyboard lights to turn off until I reopen the software and turn the lights back on. This will happen once every hour or two. Its kind of annoying especially if I am paying $180 for it. I probably just have a somewhat bad one compared to the others. Other than the issue, this keyboard is very great and the clicky sound is very great compared to other keyboard with a cherry mx blue or razer optical clicky switch.
With the ghub software there is no way to rebind keys other than the macro keys. I play some older games that don't allow remaping keys in game and that was a super awesome feature of another keyboard I own. How ever that is the only dislike I have of the keyboard.
I need a lighted keyboard and I can't keep the keys lit. I need programmable keys, sometimes I have to reboot the computer to get them to do what I programmed. I remember when all my keyboards, headsets and mice were Logitech. those days are gone.
I took the other back because the board bowed sitting on a flat desk and maybe an hour of use. I repurchased since the price dropped this board has a loose volume wheel and is bent to the point the corners dig into my desk right out of the box.
The keyboard came new and sealed, seemingly. There was no USB dongle that came with it and the G hub software does not recognize the keyboard when plugging in via USB cable. I had to go through Logitech to order a new USB dongle through warranty, but I have not heard back from them on this. Because the software does not recognize connecting directly via cable, I cannot do a firmware update that it needs.
doesnt hold a charge
