I have tried many different toning products to maintain my very light blonde hair and prevent that dreadful, and oh so ugly BRASSY hair. We all know exactly what it is. It is an unnatural and universally unattractive color that makes even the best hair color intentions look cheap-It always just looks cheap- and just not right. Like it would look great if only…. Recently, I had yet another hair disaster. I would think that I would be used to it by now over the years of being blonde. I have also had the best experiences too. That is the problem. I had to move to a very rural area and the girl fried my hair really good this time! She then left it like that. Orange. Yellow, terrible. She said she would be happy to fix it next week. Next week?-I had to do something!., I know I could have used a demi permanent color to cover it,, but I was just too scared to try anything else. So I went immediately and had this shampoo delivered to my house. I wasn’t too hopeful about it and was afraid it would stain my very light porous hair and make it look even worse! But I did what it said, taking into account the damage and just to address the really unsightly parts. I was a bit overzealous with the application process and just kind of slapped it on the top part of my head only and massaged it around avoiding the already good blonde hair I wanted to keep! After I could see it did tone it down. Also after applying it to my roots, I blended it with the lighter blonde hair just so it didn’t look so banded as it did. It seriously helped me out. She did fix the color, eventually but my hair is still fried, and I still use this shampoo to prevent brass.
I used it for the first time and no issues with my scalp and could see a good difference in my hair. I will be buying the conditioner to use with it. Thanks Walmart
I didnt have high hopes for this. I bought this in conjunction with the conditioner with the hopes of turning down the brassiness of my dyed brown hair. My poor hair had been through it. I was previous a box red and bought a "lifting" brown. There was no lift. I looked like a strawberry copper penny. Next day I color oops it (bleach version) and went with a medium brown right after. I still had shades of brass, orange and red. I wasnt happy at all. I didnt want to put my hair through much more considering overall it was healthy before I started this. I was considering just going dark but I wanted to try to tone it first. I used clarifying shampoo first. Then purple shampoo. Then a deep conditioning protein treatment after everything my hair has went through. I finished up with the purple conditioner and was so surprised at my results. My hair looks gorgeous! It completely drowned out the brassy tones and now my hair is a soft brown with blonde undertones. I am very pleased with this product.
Ever pure shampoo is so helpful after youve colored the hair sometimes has a brass look and the texture isnt as soft or manageable. With this Ever pure it gets the brass look out and helps the hair remain soft and easy to manage. It comes in an easy squeeze tube with a handy seal top to snap closed after each use, the cream is purple in color and rinses really well
We praised for being an affordable, sulfate-free toning shampoo that effectively brightens blonde, bleached, and silver hair while neutralizing brassy yellow and orange tones. Gentle and Sulfate-Free: Unlike many harsh toning shampoos, it uses a moisturizing, vegan formula infused with hibiscus that doesn't overly strip the hair of moisture. Effective Brass Neutralization: It does an excellent job of keeping lighter hair colors bright and ashier over time. Value %26 Accessibility: It is highly affordable, readily available at Walmart, and is praised for producing a thick, creamy lather.
Salon quality and I mean that, it's not that kind that's barely purple I mean it lathers up and it's purple I mean really amazing stuff not to mention how soft my hair was after using it. Combine both shampoo and conditioner and I promise you, you will have the results your looking for without buying the expensive salon stuff
This is my overall favorite purple shampoo that I've tried through the years. The lather is great, and it really does make my waist length gray hair with blonde underneath look brighter and younger, without drying it out.. I'm 59, but started getting gray at 16. Now that it's probably 2/3 gray, I use this shampoo and conditioner once a week to help keep it looking its best. The scent is more chemical/salon than I'd prefer, but it doesn't overpower your senses. The conditioner is a must with it. It does wonders on my dry, coarse, frizzy at the worst possible time hair!
This purple shampoo is great! It smells good, lathers well and makes my hair behave. It's more manageable and looks more natural. I wish I'd have tried it sooner.
This shampoo is good at keeping my brassiness away. Wish it came in a pump bottle or a little bigger as I go through it sort of quick.
I purchased this based on reviews. I don't want to say it work or didn't but I didn't notice a difference. But that might have been the whole point. I do like the lather and how easy it is to work in the hair to insure it's getting each strand.
