I typically do a demi-permanent toner about 4 weeks from my initial highlight/bleaching. I am natural ash blonde with platinum greys at temple. After toner, I usually do a clear gloss, which extends the life of my highlights for a few more weeks. My normal 2 step process is combined into one product with this toner. Le Color Gloss is a great semi-permanent, one step toner and gloss finish. This toner has roughly 3 applications (less for longer hair) per tube. The color is beautiful and toned the brassy areas down while depositing a surprising %26 perfect pearly hue for a one step process. I am definitely impressed with the process and results. It did feel a tad less conditioned than I would like before drying; some quick hair serum before blow out left it silky smooth.
Leaves hair soft. Brightened my gray without worrying about turning me lavender. Little pricey, only use every other wash. But results are noticeable without being obvious. My second time purchasing, and will purchase again. Recommend to anyone who wants that little extra pop!
I love this toner. It makes my platinum hair have a really pretty widest tint to it. I really like it and will purchase it again. It lasts a long time. I got about 10 washes out of each bottle so it lasted for well over a month.
I think I can tell a difference, it brightened my hair a little, it’s very soft %26 smooth. I wanted a Temporary fix to lighten %26 brighten my natural grey hair. I left it on only 5 min, I believe it says 10 min. I believe 10 min will be more effective, I’m pleased with it. Will buy again.
Instead of purple shampoo, this Loreal product stays on your hair for 15 minutes and then washes out. In my opinion, it is a far superior product for toning hair. For my blonde but graying hair, I get a really nice ash tone. When I color my hair, this is also my go-to in the event color goes brassy. There are few Loreal products I don't like; however, this toner is an essential part of haircare for me.
I really like this. I have gray hair that is naturally brittle and brassy looking. This leaves it soft and a nice silvery color.
I have gray hair that's frizzy and yellowing. It toned the yellow and my hair is so smooth and shiny. I'll definitely continue to use it considering being on a fixed income and I'll get more than 1 use it of it
The toner is super easy to use. It does work, but the result were not perfect. I did get several strands toned down from brassiness, but my darker red brassiness was not touched. I would use again, but my expectations were higher. The product does work, but it’s important to understand that some darker brassiness may not change. However, for the price versus salon, it worked okay for me.
This is very smelly stuff, like heavily floral-ish. I’ve used other purple treatments but this is the strongest smelling one I’ve tried. Left my hair kinda pink toned. I’m naturally dark ash blonde and I use hair color to get to medium ash blonde but I used the wrong shampoo and stripped all the ash tones off my hair leaving it pretty yellow. This left my hair pink toned. It’s not terrible and I know it’ll wash out. I was going for pearly blonde, so maybe after a couple washes this will be good. I have high porosity baby fine hair, so maybe that’s why it looks so pinky. It’s purple pink, but def skewing ink. My other toners often leave it too blue toned so this is fun. I’ll keep using it but for much less time. I went 7 minutes this time, so maybe 2 -3 next time. And if you have shorter, fine, high porosity hair you’ll get like 25 uses out of one bottle. I didn’t use a lot the first time and I’ll be using way less next time. But the smell of it makes me sure I’ll never buy it again. Like as I used it it kept hitting me, then as I waited to rinse it I kept catching strong whiffs of it and each time it kinda surprised me how intense it was. I could taste it in the air. I know low porosity people say this does nothing for them, so it makes sense it would do something weird on high porosity hair.
Admittedly, my hair was already damaged and brassy from coloring - with L'Oreal mind you - but this left my hair feeling gross and looking worse. There was no color transfer at all and it made my hair feel almost waxy and look drier and more damaged. No more of this brand for me in the future.
