I've been using this product since I got married 48 yrs ago. I love this product, I dont have to worry about discoloration in my clothes, my clothes always look brighter when I use it, you can see it when I dont use it. I live in a apartment building with a shared laundry room. This gives me a sense of security that its killing bacteria or virus or anything that someone else may have that cause illnes from a contaminated washer.
We love this stuff! I probably shouldn't admit it, but we use it in just about every load of laundry. It's especially great for gym clothes and getting rid of those lingering sweaty odors that regular detergent doesn't always seem to tackle. It leaves everything smelling fresh, and it's become a regular part of our laundry routine. Definitely something we will keep buying. I like that it also is one of the only things that can truly sanitize your clothes, so if we add it we dont have to worry.
I'm allergic to fragrance based products so I can't use any fragrance in my laundry products. So I started noticing my clothes still sometimes had a little remaining body odor. Obviously the fragrance was masking that previously. The fragrance free Lysol sanitizer takes care of that and now my clothes have a clean fresh scent. Thank you Lysol!
I haven't noticed a big difference, but I do use Lysol sanitizer on all my families clothes. I do have smaller children in school age classes so I do wanna kill all the germs that I can so I do add this in each and every laundry load the smell is great because it's not overpowering. There is no perfume and I don't notice any extra smell
My man works in restoration and demolition so God only knows what his uniforms pick up during the day at work and uses this to launder his uniforms. It's amazing! Leaves them fully cleaned and sanitary and doesn't fade or make clothes dry. Also wonderful for when anyone has been sick and you can get all the germs out of the towels, sheets and their clothes. A good investment!
I love the Free and clear. The other Lysol Laundry Sanitizer has a blue dye that has turned my white towels light blue.
I would have given this 5 stars but it doesn't eliminate old odors like scented detergents already in clothes. I mainly use it on my towels with my main detergent to help sanitize since I can't use bleach. And I add some to the detergent holder when I do self clean on my machine. For those things it is great! And I love that it is unscented.
Back during the pandemic days I thought this idea was silly because the act of washing your clothes will sanitize them. But then I had some towels that stank even after washing them, THATS when it hit me the purpose of this solution. And yes, it worked pretty well getting some mildewy smells out. Convinced me enough to always keep a bottle on hand now.
Love the product. Does exactly what it says. Bought twice, but never again. The screw cap leaks! First time, I thought it was my fault. Got one use out pf bottle before all leaked out. Second bottle made extra sure it was sealed before leaving laundry. Didn't help, leaked everywhere. Perhaps just transfer as much as you need to a no-spill bottle and not risk carrying jug. So love the product, wish it was in a different bottle.
That's a ridiculous amount of product to have to use in my machine for one load. Five capfuls is the equivalent of approximately 13.35 ounces of sanitizer. Too much to fit into the softener dispenser so I'm supposed to run to my machine to stop, open, pour in the remainder, and restart during the rinse cycle?
