Fast
When an animal is sick the last thing you want to do is waste time. In 9 seconds you can get an accurate read on where your animal's temp is at and how to proceed. Lacking in this is the fact like all digital thermometers they arent as accurate in the w

Hard to turn on
Very difficult to turn on. Out of the package I tried to turn it on. I pressed the on button several times and nothing happened. Thinking the battery might have one of those tabs that needs to be pulled out I opened the battery compartment and there wasn't one. Put it back in nothing. I opened it again and this time I pressed the circuit board switch directly and it turned on. Wow. So I put it back together and then used the back of a pen to press the thermometer on button and it worked. Some engineer messed up on the distance between the exterior on button and the circuit board on button.

Don't think it is very accurate
Got this thermometer when my other digital stopped working. I do not think it gives very accurate readings. It continually gives me low (subnormal) readings on healthy calves, and worse, I can take 3 different consecutive readings on the same calf and it
