Love it! Arrived 3 days early awesome! It was a struggle for me but I was determined and got threw it. The unit is heavy and it would of been faster and easier with help. Doing the bottom plate was hard , but I put a large mettle serving bowl under the unit to hold it up so I could screw the plate in place. Then I wanted to hook it up to my kitchen faucet but my faucet was to small. So plan changed I ended up hooking it up to the bathroom sink. As of now I am waiting for my dolly wheels to arrive. It is to heavy and awkward to move to the sink every time it's laundry day. I do love this unit it's so easy to use and set up. It's everything I wanted and more. No trips to the laundromat for me anymore!
This thing has saved me numerous trips to the bank for quarters and hundreds in cost of laundry mat fees. It cleans clothes very well and size of tank is perfect for a few days worth of clothes. It washes just enough to fill a clothes like hung across my apartment. I wish I bought this thing years ago. I went to home improvement store and bought a washer install kit for about 50 bucks to set it up with hot and cold without taking a faucet out of use
Great machine. Uses less water and detergent. HE (high efficiency) once you become use to the low amount of water that it uses you will be fine. Do not be fooled by this the machine truly gets your clothes clean. Just become familar with the manual's WASH CYCLE GUIDE Pg 14 and you'll be thrilled. It actually holds a lot for 1 load ive evenwashed a queen size comforter. I love this machine. Paid $249 for it 2 years ago. It has paid for itself!! Goodbye laundromat . Thank you Magic Chef
I was very pleased to receive my order within a week and I love it! The Magic Chef washer is larger than I expected and sturdy! I love the easy to use settings, I did purchase a dolly to move it to and from my sink which I recommend. Hookup to the sink and draining water to the sink is also easy. I am extremely happy with my purchase.
Following the extension of the first floor of our house, my family and I were unable to replace our broken-down washer as any option was too large to not necessitate the use of our cellar (that is obstructed from use). This machine solved that problem, and carries so much more laundry than I anticipated; I have no qualms when it comes to space. It washes very well, another concern I had prior to purchasing this product. Setup was a breeze, and the interface is very intuitive. Would purchase this product again in a heartbeat and my only regret is not doing so years ago! Don’t hesitate if you are on the fence like I was.
This washer is big; I had to put it in my unfinished, unused basement. I was hoping to put it in my kitchen, but it's too big, which is good. I wouldn't call it portable; the water hookup only worked in my basement. It washes well; the first wash contained my workout gear. 3 pairs of leggings,3 sports bras, some tanks, and two long dresses I wear around the house.
This is an amazing washing machine. For about $300 the value that you're getting is unbelievable. It actually looks quite big when you get it and it's quite deep. The washing quality is really good it's high-powered. It's so easy to plug right onto the sink with the adapter that already comes with it. I love it how it has the settings for quick which takes about 25 minutes just like a laundromat would. It's very easy to use. It looks really nice. And Walmart has really good customer service.
Did alot of research regarding apartment size washers, and Magic Chef, scored high. Now dont get me wrong, hooking a washer to a kitchen sink is not my dream situation, however, neither is slugging my clothes back and forth to the laundry mat! With that being said, this machine washes really well, with no issues, leakages or vibration. Just one mention, the washer program choices give you the time option of the wash, I have found, that it actually runs longer, because I dont believe it takes into account the spin and rinse cycles. Also, there is no fabric softener dispenser, so I ordered a Downy Ball, which works as it should. All in all, I can wash my double bed size sheets all at once and will wash my Queen Quilt independently. Understand, I said Quilt, not comforter; I would take a Comforter to the laundry mat. I did not stack a dryer above because I am short and I would not be able to reach since you need at least an additional 20 inch clearance when the washing machine cover is open. I hope that this review assists anyone considering this purchase.
The tumble is smaller than I thought but would easily fit queen-size sheets and comforters (one at a time). Spin dry is powerful. I washed a full-size pillow top in it and there's definitely no dripping after spin-dry under "bulky" setting. Setup is easily doable just by myself. Control is quite straightforward, and the machine is not making a lot of noise nor vibrating a whole lot when running. Overall, I'm very pleased with the machine so far.
What a terrible experience. The washer was delivered on May 1. It did not work properly (unable to agitate water, unable to transition from one setting to another without throwing an error) since the beginning. Called for support, which was an even worse experience. The support technician was clearly incapable and was disinterested in fixing this. After he ordered a new part and tried to replace it, the machine started smoking!! We called and asked for a refund, but have been without a washer for more than a month now, which has been SO inconvenient. So many hours wasted - would have rather gone to laundromat. We will be ordering a different brand. The support people on the phone were quite respectful, but the tech support is clearly not rigorously vetted and wastes customer time.
