Way better than I expected! I am 54 and had never purchased shaping garments before so when I went looking I didn't know what to look for. Somehow I got lucky enough to find and choose this maiden to form peice. It is stretchy yet firm. It holds all the things in place and is smooth under clothing. Comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time (even over 8 hours). The hook and eye closure is a tiny bit challenging but manageable. I'm not sure how someone with arthritis would do with it though. Anyway, if you need something to smooth things out and give you a confidence boost... This one's a great choice!
I got this yesterday because, after having 2 children and being on medication that makes me gather weight in my mid section, I wasn't too happy with the way I looked in that area. I was skeptical at first, but I put it on, and I couldn't be happier whit how well it worked!!!
Bought in both black %26 beige. They are great for tummy control %26 back support. The support is firm but not uncomfortable. Sooooo much prettier %26 sexy than the medical type back support. They do better for me than the medical back support %26 the price is way less.
I wear this Constantly. I love the support and slimming effect it gives my waist on bad days. It helps absorb some of the abdomenal pain from IBS and also I wore it out of the hospital postpartum. I don't notice any cooling difference, but I wear a cotton layer underneath anyway. Maybe I make it work harder than it is designed to, but the plastic boning will shift downwards and stick into my hip if my sitting posture isn't good. But all of it is worth it.
Light weight material but a little bulky ( shows through clothing). More “nylon type” fabric then “latex type”, making it less comfortable to wear in my opinion. I must wear a firm abdominal binder daily for medical reasons and I could only use this for short terms. The hook and eye are the best part unless you have arthritis. I wear a size 12 top but THEIR XL was what an average size 12 person would consider TOO TIGHT. But, considering the price I’d give it a solid 3 because if you can find the size 🙄 it’s a well made product, I have special needs.
I got this waistnipper because i needed something for after i had my baby, i have tried many but have not liked them, they were all very uncomfortable and i really needed to get something i could use all day, so when i saw this one i read all the reviews and since most were good reviews i decided to give it a try and i have git to say i like it , i am size 12 so i got a large and it fits great, it was a bit had to put on at first since it had been only two days since i had my baby and i was really swollen but even like that it was pretty comfortable after i got it on, it doesn't pinch or stab like the others i have tried and its easy for me to move around, i don't feel like a robot while wearing it, the only thing i didn't like is that its shorter from the front and it doesn't completely cover my stomach from the top but i can deal with that so other then that it's great and i would totally recommend it to my friends also the price is great, i would even pay a little more if i had to
So I needed something for after abdominal surgery while I healed. This would have been okay, but it has NO give to it. After reading the reviews, I ordered a size larger than my regular size. Way too small. Returned that and ordered another 2 sizes larger. Still too small. You would need to order at least 2-3 sizes larger than what you usually wear. Even then, all those little hook
I bought two of these a few years ago and love them. One has worn out from years of use so I ordered the exact same product number in the exact same size. It's made SOOO differently now and that's not a good thing. The fabric is slipperier, there is a prominent design on the fabric, and the biggest problem is the size isn't the same. It didn't fit right when I tried it on and I thought maybe it was a me problem since I gained a few pounds, but I laid it out next to my old one and the new one is a good FOUR INCHES SHORTER even though it's the same size. It got returned and now I don't know what to do to replace my worn out one. Very disappointed.
I could see this being ok if you already have a relatively flat midsection just to keep everything firm. However, if you have any lumps/bumps/rolls you are trying to keep smoothed, this is not the right product for the job. It doesn't hold you in at all. Rather, the boning just bends out at awkward angles around your lumps n bumps. You kinda end up looking like a bursting can of biscuits. And forget about sitting. Everything just squeezes out the top and bottom, cuts you in half, and you look super weird. Im 5'2 180lbs. I got the size 2x. This did nothing for me except look bad and hurt me. I got my money back.
I returned it because it runs really small. I didn't try it And when I got it, it should've fit me just great at that size. I couldn't. It didn't fit me. It's way too small so it runs really small.!
