Mainstays 100% Cotton 44" Wide x 2 Yards Precut Fabric Solid White Print Sewing & Crafting Fabric, 1 Each

I've used this cotton fabric for several sewing projects and it's good quality and a good value for the money. I always wash and dry it first before making clothing.

It was the perfect yardage for me to use as a covering for my white table with all my Halloween decorations. I will certainly buy it in more available colors.

Nice fabric, I have bought before and will buy again

Packaging says measures 44” x 72”. Measurement before washing was 44 ¼” wide x 72” long. After washing measures: 42 3/8” wide x 70 1/8” long Fraying loss on one end was 3/8” and the other end was ½” loss A lot of string came out in the washing machine. (see pic) I washed on cold water, low dirt levels. I washed the fabric with a white, cotton washcloth. The color did not bleed during the wash and dry cycles. The 2 yards of fabric dried in about 15 minutes, I had 5 minutes left on the dryer. Not may wrinkles to iron out. I took a pic of the dryer lint catcher (see pic) to see how much lint came out. The fabric and the wash cloth were the only items in this load. I know that fabric will shrink in the first wash, especially 100% cotton. Fabric is 100 % cotton, tight weave (see window pic) and feels soft like quilt fabric. Easily tears along the selvage. Irons easily (I did use a fabric softener). Color is a dark black (brighter black than my computer mouse – see pic). Sewing with the fabric was easy! The fabric did not scrunch up under the needle, stayed in place nicely during sewing. I have used Mainstays precut fabric a lot this year since it is what I can easily find. I like the fabric especially for mask making. The weave is tight, I cannot see the inner lining, and it continually washes well with not a lot of shrinking after the first wash.

Seems to be good quality but pretty thin with zero stretch. Just didn't work for what I needed!
