My daughter has had one of these for her queen mattress for years. I had a twin frame, but it was not built as sturdy as the queen, so I bought a queen too, after trying another twin frame that broke also. I would say the queen can support 400-450 pounds when me and my daughter lay down on it. It's the easiest bed I've ever had to assemble. Its light enough to bring upstairs in two trips with one person carrying it. I had to open the box outside and take it up in two trips because the box was too heavy.
Got this for my inlaws visit, I highly recommend this product, it was very sturdy good material and not cheap and flimsy. I was concerned not knowing if I made a good choice but once unboxed and tested I was pleasantly surprised, it foods up nice and small for storage under my childrens twin bed ir closet for easy access for when needed
Purchased the twin xl 14" foldable frame for a guest bed for an adult. Super easy set up out of the box, unfold and pull out brackets on each end. There is a locking button on each one, just push button to fold back up. I did take a star off for sturdiness. It has a slight wobble head to toe but it's steady side to side. Also the bracket angle takes away some under-bed storage if that's important to you.. Still, our need was for an easy and storable frame to hold an adult and very pleased with this deal! I recommend.
For the Mainstays 14" High Profile Foldable Steel Twin XL Platform Bed Frame, Black. Received in excellent condition. Assembly was amazingly easy even for this elderly person — remove zip-tie which held it in folded position; open it upside down (leg assembly facing up; pull the top and bottom legs to “open” (upright) position position (center legs are automatically positioned as the bed is opened from folded position); carefully turn the frame over, standing it upright being careful not to pinch fingers/hands in center area; proceed to putting on mattress and making the bed. The instructions warn to never sit on the ends (head or foot end) of the bed. In making the bed (I had a foldable mattress and separate topper I used), I went back and forth across the bed on my hands and knees a few times without problems; also did lie on the bed for a bit and rolled over a time or two. Ready for my guests this weekend. For reference, I weigh in the vicinity of 190lbs-200lbs, give or take 5lbs. If there's a problem within the next yr, I'll post but for the price n such, I couldn't be happier.
Maybe I didn't lock it right lol but when you move it around the room it still folds in half. It's two pieces you lock together which I did on the legs. I moved to a new rental where the stairs were so tight my platform wouldn't fit the corner and I knew a box spring wouldn't. My mattress can fold to the curve of the steps but I needed a cheap solution so my bed wasn't stuck on the floor. This was a great fix %26 next day shipping. I also had dollar store self adhesive furniture foot padding for the feet of the bed post so it would glide softly on the wood floor. Now I have extra under the bed storage again!
This is a solid sturdy bed frame. It's height is perfect to have storage space underneath. If you want a reasonable bed frame that will last this is it. You have options of several heights, make sure you measure before deciding on height. I almost went with higher bed, so glad I didn't, or it would be hard to get into, especially for a small child or elderly
This style of frame is by far the best offer ever. Walmart pricing makes it so affordable. It's strong and saves more by taking the place of not having to buy a box spring. Easy assembly is only opening the legs, no tools etc and easy open by pressing the red button. Recommended.
I was quite surprised at the quality of this bedframe. It was very easy to assemble and was quite a bargain for the price. I will most likely buy another one. I recommend this for a buyer who has a difficult time putting big i was quite surprised at the quality of this bedframe. It was very easy to assemble and was quite a bargain for the price. It holds up really well! I'm a 267lb 5'7" person, and it holds me up very well! I bought the twin xl, and it does rock and sway when I move, but it doesn't collapse or cave in when I lay on it. When it says it can hold 1,000lbs I can believe it. my mattress isn't light, and I'm not a skinny person. but if it didn't sway, I would give it 5 stars hands down! it doesn't look like the most attractive frame in the world, but it's decent, and came through in a tight pinch of a budget.
It is very self-explanatory to open and click the end legs in. However. I thought there would be more durability to the middle. Pins or something to snap into place. It feels like when moving around on it, it is going to collapse. My son is close to 300 lbs. It states 600lb limit. I would say if you weigh more than 300. Dont buy this. It is good quality. But I still don't trust it 100%. It is temporary until we can get him another one.
