Zinus Spa Sensations Serenity 8" Memory Foam Mattress, Full

I bought this mattress for someone with a severe musculoskeletal disorder that causes pain and discomfort. This mattress is great. Before they did not want to sleep in their bed because they said it was so uncomfortable. I didn’t even get rid of the previous mattress as it was brand new I simply opened this one up and put it right on top of the other mattress and he was so happy with it. Now I have my couch back so it’s a win win.

We have bought these for all bedrooms in house (and for kids in college, too). Though there are some that are less expensive, I have found they are far less quality. This mattress is an excellent value and will only buy these moving forward. They increase to given size and are super comfortable.

If I’m being honest it was an impulse purchase, I really needed a new mattress but I didn’t have to look for very long because I found one very quickly and affordable on the Walmart app. It had a deal so I got $20 off, the mattress had great reviews and was even recommended to me by someone I know who also purchased this mattress at a Walmart store. So far since I’ve received the mattress I’ve loved every second of it. Definitely a much needed and affordable upgrade.

I have purchased between 6-8 or more of these over the past 13 yrs for me, my youngest son, our spare room, my niece, my daughter and her hubby, and now my oldest son and his wife, plus replacements a couple of years ago for a few. It's a GREAT mattress. It always fully inflates nicely out of the box and feels great in the way of firmness and support. I can't say enough good things about this mattress. It keeps its shape over the years, doesn't sink in or even start to for several years and that is a very, very tiny bit so that it's not noticeable. I used to be well over 300 lbs and there wasn't a dip on my side. I'm 180 now and just feel sheer comfort and support with this mattress. It's like sleeping on a semi-firm cloud. Get them for your household. You won't regret it.

I didn't think I would like a bed in a box, but this one surprised me. I have a bad back and this doesn't hurt my back like my other bed did. I would say it's medium firm. I sleep on my side mostly and it gives me the best sleep I've had in a while. I've actually dreamt the last few days I've had it and I haven't had a dream in so long! I feel like that's testimony in itself!

I like this mattress so much that I have purchased it twice now. It is so hard to find a good firm mattress, as you can see this is a firm medium but I have found it still very comfortable to use every single day. I won't ever buy a different mattress unless it's another one of these. I like the material. I like the size, I got a 12-in. I also appreciate that it is memory foam which adds another layer of comfort.

I have bought two of these in the king size over the past decade and I love them even after multiple spinal surgeries. However, I bought this full size for our spare bedroom since I loved our king so much. Unfortunately, even though it's the exact same mattress, just a different size, it is completely different when I've tested sleeping on it. The king size is nice and firm and supportive even though it's a medium firmness mattress. The full size is the exact same firmness, height, everything. Exactly the same just a different size. The full ends up having you in a hole or crater after you lie in the center for 10 or 15 minutes. Rolling over onto your side is difficult because you're sunken in more. I've been waking up with horrible back pain because of this. If I sleep toward the edges, it's not so bad. But if I sleep in the middle, I end up in a small crevice that is difficult to roll out of and horrible back pain in the morning. I have spinal issues and I've had a lot of surgeries but the king size has been perfect for me over the years. I don't know why the fall is so much different. At first I thought it was because they were on a frame with slats and maybe the couple of inches between the slats was enough to make it sag. But then I put a sheet of OSB board underneath and it did the same thing. So it's a matter of the mattress being too soft in the middle for some reason which is never a problem with the king size. The king is on a flat platform frame so I thought the OSB board would solve the issue but it didn't. This is the third mattress I bought. The first two were a different brand and horrible. That's why I spent a little more money for this brand because we never had problems in the past. Unfortunately, it creates a depression deep enough to keep your body contour it at an angle if you're laying on your side and difficult to roll over. I don't know what else to do other than return it. I wish I could talk to the company to ask them why the full is so much different in that aspect than the king.

I have bought this same Zinus mattress six previous times for beds in vacation rental properties as well as one in my own home and we LOVED them all. So when I needed to replace two more mattresses at my home this fall, I ordered the same Zinus mattress. However, the mattresses that arrived this time are VERY firm. While it does contour to your body in a way that is very supportive, if you try to move during the night you have to "climb" out of the indentation your body made in the foam mattress to a new spot and then wait a while for it to reshape it's support to your body in a new location. Not at all the experience we've had with this mattress previously, and guests have told us that it's just not comfortable--too hard. Apparently the manufacturer has changed how they make this and I don't like the new version. So it will be returning and now I no longer have my favorite mattress as an option :(

After trying to give this mattress several months and trying different things im sad to say this has been a bad purchase. I went ahead and made the purchase because I had once before purchased the same mattress and it was a good mattress. However, this one has been terrible. Immediately we noticed that it would sink in wherever we laid, except for a piece in the center that remained firm. The sinking made it really uncomfortable as we were also expecting more of a firm mattress. To give it a try we waited to see if the sinking would change, but nothing. We then decided to add a mattress topper and that didnt help either. We also tried rotating the matttress thinking maybe one side was defective, but no help at all. Its unfortunate that this matttress didn't give the same experience as before. I do see there are mixed reviews and it would be great if the company could figure out why some mattresses appear to be defective.

I waited 4 days before returning the mattress. It looked nothing liked the picture. The box says 12 inches, but it measured at best 10 inches. If you decide to return it, be sure to hang on to the box. Walmart told me they wouldn’t refund my money unless I provided the box that it came in.
